Hard to argue any one thing has cost us more wins than special teams this season. Most games we really do enough in 2 phases to win but its that 3rd phase that bites us in the a$$

What is our record ATS this season? Better than our actual record by quite a bit right?

IlRumor has it the boosters have decided on a secret Frost Alberts exit plan that involves linking the pair to Carl Pelini in an attempt to void the buyout all in an effort to make Tom Osborne acting AD, head football coach and offensive coordinator. Chinander and the defensive staff will remain on board. As AD Osborne will enact radical change within the athletic department, cutting all sports programs besides football and implementing a womens football team. This all in an effort to show we take football seriously at Nebraska

Not trying to make comparisons just pointing out that while Brohm did get a winning season and 2 bowl games his first 2 years no one would have said he had them in an upward trajectory after last season.

Year 5 for Brohm. Last 2 years he went 4-8 then 2-4

Alot of talented young dudes on that line though. Might be one of our deepest positions. Funny enough I think we also have depth at defensive back which will be where we will lose alot of the rest. Domann is the one piece I don't think we can replace effectively

Why would Kiffin leave Ole Miss for NU? He has a pretty good thing going at Ole Miss. I don't see him leaving. I like Fickle but if we are being honest Chadwell is probably the most realistic option should we part with Frost. BOB wouldn't be a terrible option and I do think he is realistic but I'm not terribly excited about starting over with either of those coaches.

Strongly disagree with your last point. You can't win games you aren't in to begin with. Just because we don't win the close ones doesn't mean it isn't a better position to be in. An L is an L at the end of the day I will give you that but having a gameplan to keep it close isn't lame football

And I can understand that but if you think about it in simplistic terms its bread and soup which is a pairing everyone in the world is familiar with I'm pretty sure. Not saying its not a bit unusual but some people treat it like pure lunacy haha. Glad you're converted

How is the cinnamon roll ruining the chili? You don't have to dunk. Bread+soup is a pretty classic combo. This is just a variation. Never understood why the combo causes so much uproar with those who haven't given it ago. Is it really the most absurd thing?

Ok and? I'm not entirely convinced we should can Frost this year so if we do we should ask Fickle. Doesn't seem like a longer shot than Bob Stoops to me who many have been mentioning and I'm not sold on any of the lesser known names. Offer Fickle a contract. If he goes somewhere else so be it. He is absolutely one of the top options out there in my mind. Give it a shot.

This is a big reason I'm not on the fire Frost train. We haven't had a team this good generally in over a decade. Unfortunately we haven't had a team this bad at winning in over half a century. Its a bit of a head scratcher and certainly a reason Frost is on the hot seat. Winning games is the ultimate goal. But you win games by putting together a good team. In a way he is doing that. A weird phenomena to say the least

Oh I get it, they care better. What a joke. I have pride in the state of Nebraska. The point you think you are making is ridiculous honestly and I'm through entertaining it.

This implies the blue hairs care more than younger folks, which I disagree with. Also you say people care about Husker football because there is nothing else but you also say the care is waning because we suck. So is the deep care actually tied to the Huskers being the only show in town or is it tied to winning? I know where I'm from its the former. Frankly the Huskers could go 0-12 year in and year out and I'd still have hope and excitement for every single game. I'm a Husker and I will never not be. Sure losing can create apathy but I really don't think the die hard Husker fans will ever go away. Its part of who we are. And to be fair every fan base has this to some degree so I'm not saying we are special, but I do think as a program we are pretty high on the list when it comes to fan passion.

Youre an idiot. People still care. I see 20 year olds with Husker gear in Mississippi. Im die hard Husker no matter what and im 26. Everyone I know from where I'm from is the same. Maybe our team just sucks, stop looking for some greater connection

Frankly I'm not in the camp that believes we should get rid of Frost but if I'm playing the game why not Luke Fickle?
