  1. Reimer needs to be in on obvious passing downs. He has more speed than Honas and Miller and probably much better ball skills. there are plenty of snaps to go around for all 3 especially the way our offense plays.
  2. lol no I don't want to post any stats to back up my joke.
  3. been a while since I've seen anyone on that defense get an interception by actually making a play on the ball. Most of them seem to come from opportunities like Farmer's 1st one. I was kinda miffed at him for the 1st TD. Bad angle and looked pretty slow. I could see him playing more on passing situations.
  4. I agree with the angle part. I didn't realize Manning played more than one or two snaps. He was in there quite a bit. I would have like to see them take a shot down field to either Flemming or Manning while in there. It helps keep the defense somewhat honest if they think you have the balls to at least try. Like AM's interception, if there are 3 guys on your TE somebody else has to be open
  5. especially when they rarely go under center.
  6. I suppose. He is also taller than Wandale so maybe when AM throws it at the ground five yards in front of him he will be able to reach it.
  7. AM seems to have a wind-up. Not sure how he threw before but he seemed to bring the ball down a little too far for me on Sat and I think it messes with the timing of his throws.
  8. I would rather see guys hang their heads than laughing and smiling after a loss. I had times playing when I wanted to punch teammates in the face after the game. Usually guys on the offensive side of the ball who were part of a s#!tty offense acting like they didn't just get embarrassed. If guys are "hanging" their head it at least tells me they care.
  9. well he also threw a bounce pass to Wandale. Threw in between two open rec and sailed another one out of the endzone. I don't think Betts would have helped on any of those. I think they need to stop messing with the QB's "stroke"
  10. i thought he looked pretty good as well. He looked like he belonged out there. Some guys are just gamers. I did like the catch Betts had where it was pretty high but he met the ball instead of waiting for it like some of the other guys seem to do so they can get tackled right after they catch it.
  11. You should be able to draw stuff in the dirt for these guys just to get them in the game.
  12. Don't know if anyone else noticed on almost all the 3rd downs except for in the 4th quarter they put in all the white WR's? I get they are probably the possession guys but on 3rd and 10+ you need some guys that could actually get past the sticks and be open. The defense plays tighter especially because they know they can which in turn makes it more difficult to convert. I don't need to see any of the the TE's on the field for 3rd and 14.
  13. don't know if anyone mentioned this but if Jurgens is out the offense does look a lot worse. Farniok is not a very good center. I'm pretty sure he probably missed a bunch of line calls and he can't block for s#!t. On more than one occasion he was looking back toward the backfield. not the direction you want your o-line looking. He looked like a lost ball in high weeds
  14. we will either win by two TD's plus or lose by two TD's plus
  15. they technically claim a NC in 1942 or somewhere around there
  16. yeah... Oregon has never had claim to a national title
  17. His school built their stadium in the mid 90's (college style seating). My dad was coaching 3A private school at the time in the same town. Merrillville HS was 5A at the time. They called the game battle of Broadway because they are on the same road about 5 miles apart. My dad's team won the 1st game played there 3-0 on a late 4th quarter field goal. Was a great game.
  18. Our Valedictorian actually went there. He was kinda pissed that they came to talk to me like I wasn't worthy (I wasn't but he didn't know that)
  19. I got recruited to play for the University of Chicago. The coach came and talked to me and looked at my grades and told me I had too many B's.
  20. I think everyone is putting a little too much on prep time. Pretty much every school plays a spread offense. Guys should know how to line up by now. Checks to motions are probably the same. most of the prep can be done on their Ipads just getting down tendencies on down and distance. Pick out their top 5 plays and get mental reps against them and what the overall game plan is.
  21. Maybe nebraska would just pay for the travel expenses and testing. That way its just a no cost trip for Chat.
  22. It would probably be the easiest game to prepare for tho to be honest. If they primarily line up in the same formation to run triple option it is pretty much assignment football. you have dive, you have qb, you have the pitch.
