  1. I noticed the thread didn't say ... "who can we steal" ... cause we all know that their ain't a chance in hell we get anyone committed to them. :-)
  2. Agreed, having a guy with a hot head at times, who gets passionate during games and offers excuses but says the problems will be fixed next week ... is not the kind of leader we need on this team. :-) Caveman99, ya, would have loved to see them go after him on the defensive side of the ball. I'm not throwing stones at the staff ... just see it differntly ... especially with all the schollies that we have to offer and with the difficulty to build a solid DL it seems smart to be stronger at LB and possible move somebody to the secondary or offensive side of the ball. We shall see ...
  3. So agree. We also spot a team the first 2 1/2 quarters with an array of mistakes ... we will know if we can win this game within the last 3-5 minutes of the game ... no sooner.
  4. For me, the interesting thought all along has been the lack of love for Cox and Ramirez whom are both rated higher on most folks boards. I remember the conversation with SkerChicago on this, post #63. All these months later I'm still left with the thoought that this was the year that we had plenty of open slots. Thus, this kid must have one bad attitude to not offer. The kid has four star talent as well as Cox ... no doubt about it. Just wish we would have pursued these kids like we did the ones we got.
  5. Stanford for me ... where their OL and DL dominate and our mistakes put us in a hole that we can't recover from.
  6. The simple answer is ... the B1G sucks period ... so that's why they suck in the bowls. It will be true this year big time!
  7. Agreed, still, play mistake free football and I like our chances.
  8. I enjoyed hearing Spencer Long say, "We want to show we can play four quarters of consistent football." Ya, we all want that. Step up to the plate and leave no doubt. Roll somebody and play Husker ball. Give me something to believe in.
  9. I had no belief at all. There was some hope for sure. Now I am more perplexed then ever ... are we heading in the right direction? Personally, I would feel more confident with a few deserved wins and obvious losses for defined reasons. As is ... I am left with a new brand of mistake ridden, undisciplined football that is masked by one to two quarters of good or great play that is enough to be 10-2 in a bad conference and it seems "acceptable". It is every half time and every week that we are told of all the mistakes and how correctable they are ... only to endure them for the first half of another game. It is like a stock that is making it's numbers even though it isn't executing it's strategy. The board of diectors and investors are happy but the "bigger picture guy" knows their are problems on the horizon that threaten the long term goals. Thus, "congrats" are in order and I want to sell the stock and take the profit. Sure is weird to be a RED kool-aid drinker this whole time and now feel on a different page and we are 10-2.
  10. Kinda humored by all the "wind" comments in threads. This is the same Husker team we've had all year. Wind has nothing to do with holding on to the ball and playing hard and smart.

    1. Foppa

      Foppa

Yep. It's dumb. So who ya going for next week?

Ron Brown said the wind was affecting toss plays. Was probably more windy than usual. Ruf ruf.

  11. You definitely have not watched the last 6 games. :-) Congrats to Husker Nation for sure.
  12. I think we are playing pretty much like we have all year ... it's not "crappy" ... this is the way we win games now.
  13. Have 'em just where we want them ...

Not yet. Gotta be down by 10 first. Iowa knows this. It's why they've refused to extend their lead. At 7-3, we're screwed.

      This is f'ing ridiculous

  14. Niles Paul caught a pass. Oh my ... congrats!

  15. Good stuff Knapp. Bowls will tell alot. I just give the B1G that much credit, including my Huskers. I think the B1G gets rolled in the bowls. It will be interesting to see how it plays out.
  16. Loved the post. The only thing that hit me differently was the "BRUTAL SCHEDULE" comment. I think this schedule was pretty easy and the B1G sucks in football this year as in the past. To me, it is the weakest in years.
  17. Running my first marathon today. At around 8 am you will see a live link on this page and my FB page. Click on the live link to watch my race if you like. If you want to text me during the race check out the comment section for my phone number. http://www.runkeeper.com/user/sheepdogmark

  18. How about leading the team out at half-time. That be a big pickup to the second half.
  19. Once a couple of years ago I moved the chains at a Chiefs game.
  20. He had a bad temper and was seen at times yelling at the kids.
