  1. Impressive premonition. lol. I haven't seen a game that ended in a tie since about 1994 (before overtime came about).
  2. 2023 looks like a reasonably challenging start with the away conference game at Minnesota followed by the away game at Colorado. If anything it would be nicer to first have the tune-up NIU & LA Tech games.
  3. A FBS school that will take us on in our house for a series without requiring a game in their own stadium is welcome in my book.
  4. Who would decide what a student athlete can or cannot peddle? I'd assume there are some products a school might not want their student athlete to affiliate with... maybe alcohol, tobacco, vapes, weed brands in legal states, some drugs or supplements, or condoms. I also wonder how equal opportunities for many female athletes to earn equal money might not exist. Is the school on the hook to ensure equality? Not saying I'm against it, but without some type of consistent regulation, it appears to be a giant can-o-worms.
  5. Ugh, OK. Does Wisky have something to do with the possible wet conditions on gameday this Saturday? Not asking to be mean… I’ve always liked you Mr. David Carr (I’m also a Fresno State fan).
  6. Don’t hate me… another Nebraska native that might appeal to some much younger generations is Lucas Cruikshank (aka Fred Figglehorn). I’m not sure if he is popular anymore & I’ve no idea if he is even a Husker football fan. For Nebraska connections, I still lean more towards Adam DeVine or Jim Connor (aka Larry Culpepper). Is the guest picker usually someone from the hosting schools area? The visiting schools area? or just some random celebrity?
  7. The gif is just to be a little facetious because every time I reopen this thread, I'm expecting news that never arrives. Plus it's a classic.
  8. I believe that's a few more gamedays away. We'll have next Saturdays gameday, then again when we are 8-1 at home on November 16th. The one in Madison is likely to be one of a few for next year.
  9. I'd be fine with any of them, but I'd would want to throw Jim Connor's (Larry Culpepper) name into the hat too. I remember seeing him being interviewed a few years ago & laughing my a$$ off when he predicted the Huskers would make the playoffs because of our "passive aggressive offense".
  10. Sorry to skew the vote a little. Chose all the remaining nine games for wins & hoping the team & staff goes into them with the attitude that they will play to win every game. I don't consider any wins in the bag, but similar to you I'm most confident with beating Illinois, Minnesota, Indiana, & Purdue.
  11. The joke with the double bypass was that Tom will go for two in any situation.
  12. I can't blame him... he went out on top, we all know it's a high stress job, and he had a double bypass years earlier. He was nearly 61 in a time when it was a lot more common to retire at a younger age.
  13. This is going to work! We just need to get our "expert" playbook out to the team in advance so they can practice up for what's coming. For one... we need to have the Bounce Rooskie in there!
  14. I don't believe the flag was for the late hit. It was more like a phantom holding call on the offense. The late hit on 2AM while he was on one knee was just a bad as the Callier twist. I'd call it a nice insult to injury.
  15. The storm is to blame for only having two losses... it could've been three. Not entirely being facetious after seeing Akron beat Northwestern last Saturday. While there's numerous reasons for the losses, the biggest reason comes down to one play involving a number fifty-three and a number forty-four taking out a difference maker.
  16. 307husker, If you are refering to TonyStalloni 's comment, I could be wrong, but I believe TonyStalloni might be referring to Noah's eligibility...he played as a true freshman at UCF, he walked on at NU (at least for now) & has sit out this coming year (I believe as a redshirt sophmore), and many then he'd be eligible to play for as many as 3 more years.
  17. From the Bryant award site: Event Details 32nd Annual Paul “Bear” Bryant Awards Hilton Americas – Houston 1600 Lamar Street, Houston, TX 77010 Doors open at 5:30pm Dinner and Awards 7pm After-Party Immediately Following Limited tickets are available for online purchase
  18. Not sure about what time of the day, but it should be decided tomorrow January 10th according to the Bear Bryant award site: https://bryantawards.org
  19. As much as I didn't care about the teams that played in the national (SEC) championship game, I hoped that Bama would pull it off. Only because I'm thinking the Bama win might not hurt Frost's chances for the Bear Bryant Coach of the Year award coming up tomorrow. I view Kirby Smart as a main competitor for the award. Any thoughts?
  20. SEC fans and ESECPN want to see a 4 team all SEC playoff. they are the best afterall Agreed, but fixed it for you
  21. I doubt it if he is the starter. If I'm reading it right, on 247 he looks like he's on Team Spotlight as #14 and there are two dual threat quarterbacks ranked higher than him on that team: https://247sports.com/Event/Under-Armour-All-America-Game-2018-43
