idk. apparently frost invested a lot of time and resources so cam could play center. and like i said had no indication cam was leaving.

I heard frost lost it when jurgens said he was leaving. apparently jurgens gave no indication he was planning to leave early. sounds like it got very heated and their meeting ended very badly. i heard some details that did not sound good at all. not hopeful about next year to say the least...

if jurgens is leaving because martinez is leaving, then letting martinez leave was a huge mistake. jurgens would have been an all american center next year. frost is going to have to work some serious magic in the transfer portal to have a chance of a winning season next year...

martinez would have beat 4 top 25 teams if our special teams was better than the average high school team.

hilarious that we're losing like 4 -5 guys early to the draft on a team that went 3-9. frost has the worst luck. i'm not sure why we're even bringing him back. we're basically starting over from scratch at this point. knowing frosts luck we're gonna lose another 4-5 key players to the transfer portal. oh and we have the 77th ranked recruiting class. every time we think things can't get worse they do.

i mean if frost is smart this will be his game plan when looking for a portal QB.

does it really matter if he's good at football?

this is disappointing. with an adequate special teams martinez probably wins 8 games this year. i will be shocked if frost finds a qb that can run his offense better than a 5th year martinez. i'm going to make a bold prediction and say next year will be frost's final year.

if frost fails the next year or 2, i can definitely see trev hiring a run heavy coach.

idk why, but i think he comes back. i mean he was 1 score away from beating every team on the schedule. if he even makes a slight improvement next year he will be a really good qb.

what about when the recruit asks about the illinois and purdue losses.

like what's going to excite a recruit about the state of the program right now?

if the assistant is just coming here for a quick payday, then that's probably not the assistant we want...

i mean if i'm a recruit i would rather start fresh with a new coach that i know will be around...

trev essentially committed to 1 more year of frost unless he makes a bowl game. what assistants and recruits are coming here knowing frost has 1 final year to win? you either got to let him go or commit to him long term. committing to 1 more year is a horrible idea. not to mention you are probably going to see players transfer to a more stable program after this year. the next coach will be taking over a disastrous situation if frost doesn't win next year.

Martinez is very close to being an elite college qb. with 1 more offseason of work maybe he gets there next year. our running backs are going to get a lot better with another offseason of development. our line can't get any worse. a lot of our key receivers should be back next year. our special teams can't get any worse. most the defense will be back which obviously has been the strongest part of the team. i'd personally would like to see frost get 1 more year to prove he can coach a winner. It makes sense to me.

i would have loved leach 15 years ago, but now seems like too late.

biggest problem is that frost has become a laughing stock and punching bag by all other fanbases on social media. recruits see this stuff and it's not going to make them want to come here.

i've never seen a qb so hit or miss than martinez. guy will look like a heisman for 10 plays than just fall apart the next 3 plays.

i think if he beats ohio state or iowa he'll be back next year.

do they roll over or do they figure out a way to get a couple wins for their coach? it should be interesting. i'm leaning towards rolling over, but nothing would surprise me with this team.

this makes no sense. regardless if it's a small class the there are no highly rated recruits signed.

that is truly unacceptable with the amount of money that is put into this program and the salary frost is making... regardless what our win/loss record is... and yea... i'm sure we'll get a bunch of 3 stars to sign before signing day and huskeronline will bump up our class ranking as much as they can.... but clearly no top talent is interested in coming here and frost is no longer a name recruits are interested in playing for...
