  1. I think it's over... out coached on both sides of the ball. Pathetic but expected.
  2. Wonder who made the call on our fumble. Announcers were even shocked that it wasn't over ruled. Going to be a very long season of biased officiating again.

It is difficult to overturn a call without conclusive proof. I agree it looked like his knee was down before the ball came out. I also agree it probably would have been overturned if OSU was playing.

Laugh if you want but that missed correction was a turning point.

Please don't start all the "refs are out to get us" crap. We're not a threat by any means.

  3. Gotta say, no defense and zero blitzing. Kind of cowardly imo. Completely inexcusable defensive performance. Chins is getting eaten up by a better coach.
  4. The battles we go through life
  5. I don't believe the controversy is over yet. I think Karma is a b!^@h and the Solich curse hasn't ended.. I do think it can be broken this year and is why I'm predicting 8 wins but... my stomach tells me tomorrow is not our day. Good Guys 24 Northwester 33
  6. Huskers - 31 Wildcats - 17 pass 250 rush 286
  7. That song has a great dare I say.. Irish Dance rhythm to it.. Can Husker Vision somehow sneak that into the pep rally and then into the game some how... Get those Irish boys and girls dancin to the tune of Nebraska
  8. Giants... all of them.. just giants!! Frost looks like a dwarf little person (political correctness ) against them.
  9. I keep hoping a media personality will actually analyze the officiating bias against us. Examples: 2019 vs Northwestern number of holding calls against us vs against them or keep it recent, the no call pass interference in the wisconsin game or the rather extended no whistle in the michigan game. Say what you want but remember to watch for important opponents getting favorable officiating "every time" they play Nebraska. I wouldn't at all be surprised to see the same in this game. Nebraska being called for 15+ holding penalties to Northwestern's 1 or 2. Conspiracy Theory here but I believe the B1G officials are told to throw the flags on Nebraska and the proof is in the pudding of horrible calls/no calls.
  10. I use amazon prime and hulu.. get all the games too. I also cancel hulu after football and yes, because I am cheap. lol Truth is, my smart tv's have youtube and twitch so between those two platforms I get my news, my sports updates and my Lil Red Heidi Hood
  11. Is it Friday yet? A question I'll be asking myself all week.... Ugh... the wait!!
  12. Forum question... when you quote to  two different people do you do it in the same post or post the first quote and reply then post the second quote and reply? (I posted the first and while I was responding a person posted and I posted a second..) Is that double posting and bad etiquette?

Multiquote is the + sign at the bottom. You can quote multiple different posters and it will put them all into your post to reply to them. Idk what you're talking about doing

Given the hit or miss with the multi-quote function, you just gotta do what you gotta do. If it works, use it. If it doesn't, quote each one individually.

And now I want to see someone quote 10 posts individually just so they have all the posts on a page.

Multi-quote works fine for me most of the time, but occasionally I'll click the + and it does nothing. Sometimes refreshing the page will make it work.

  13. I'd up that to at least 2 games.. (ie: Michigan State & Iowa for sure and you can add Illinois into that too)
  14. I'd say that cultural issue is changing. I'd say the defensive mindset is proof of the change. I'd also say, there is reason to believe the "marbled" statement is also changing as there is more excitement this year than if past years. At least here in Omaha.. I speak to random fans daily (my job requires me to converse) and I can tell you the only marbled losing culture is in the hearts of those less than 30 yo. Those 30 and older can feel the change and by years end so too will the doubters!! We won't win 12 games but we're closer to 10 than 6 imo. Time will tell, yes!!
  15. Oh did that make me chuckle... projectile vomit.. awesome weapon when correctly used. I think that's what you're saying
  16. Here's a very good write up on our boy Toure. Enjoy
  17. My Hopeful Season: Northwestern - Win North Dakota - Win Georgia Southern - Win Oklahoma - loss Indiana - Win Rutgers - Win Purdue - Win Illinois - Win Minnesota - Win Michigan - loss Wisconsin - Win Iowa - loss The 2 games that scare me are North Dakota at home (trap game) and Purdue (road game) I'm relatively (well, as confident as preseason allows) confident on the other 7. Either way I expect 9 wins at most. If in regular season they win 9 I expect a bowl loss. If we win 8 regular season I expect a bowl win.
  18. If the bus tour boys are right, Wisky could lose all 3 and Iowa/Purdue could each lose 2. Maryland might surprise this year.
  19. lol, I'll always be decoldest... made me laugh. enjoyed watching it
  20. Kind of wish the skers would make the 2019 & 2020 black uni's a regular jersey. to me, that jersey is dope!! I also like the crisp look of the all whites. Tommy A and the boys looked sharp in those. Additionally, it would be awesome imo, if alt uniforms had a more significant purpose. A motto of sorts announced with and coupled to a charity where proceeds of the sales goes to a charity. The jersey after all are licensed, yes? So sales should be easily tracked for charity purposes.
  21. Watching the "Sites & Sounds" videos of fall camp and wow... there seems to always be high energy in the defensive players during drills. The offense though, not so much. Where's there energy and is it just me being pessimistic?

I think O linemen tend to be a little more reserved and focused on the block where defensive guys play like someone put atomic balm in their jock.

@TonyStalloni - lmao... we used to initiate freshmen with atomic balm and sadly, now students get expelled for doing it. Oh the good ole days!!! Good Memories indeed!!

I earned three letters in high school but never joined the "Letterman's Club" just for that reason. Now that I look back.....wise choice!

  22. One can assume that but... we don't know what bump and bruise the player is actually playing through. Likely not a huge bump or bruise but it's still speculative. That said, I think its good coaching to address it as MJ addressed it. Question for those in the know... does turf toe still exist now that games aren't played on turf?
  23. The difference in the trip is that Nebraska, unlike Northwestern, plays the following week. Nebraska is getting there a day earlier than Northwestern and flying home immediately after the game. Northwestern however isn't flying home until late Monday so they will have a day to tour Dublin and enjoy a little of the culture. Neither team will have time to do any touring before the game. So, to your point, for the huskers it is a business trip same as a game at Michigan or any other continental based game is. Sadly, our men won't and don't get the same opportunities that Northwestern players will get thanks to scheduling.
  24. If we put ourselves in Whipple's shoes and see what talent he saw while coaching Pitt.. 1. A first round QB and 2. A superstar wideout that nobody could cover... well, I think we'd likely do what he did and "throw the ball".. That said, while with the steelers his coaching (he was the QB coach) led to Big Ben being the youngest qb to go 13-0 and later on the same year, winning the superbowl. To think anyone here has any idea of what Whip will do with his game planning is speculative and pure assumptive on their (our) part. Whip's seen it all over the years and nobody is going to throw a defensive scheme at him that will confuse him. It may, probably will, confuse the players but I'm putting my trust in Whip being able to adjust as needed and if that means "run the rock" then he'll run the rock.
