  1. It doesn't feel like a blame thing anymore so much as a piece of insight that Scott Frost limits us just enough in just enough ways to be a losing team. The clock this time. Perhaps other coaching mistakes throughout the game that others notice. So even though we saw good play calling for the most part.. and pretty fine execution (we out gained them in yardage and first downs) it was all squandered. Again.
  2. About that I agree. Hard to get the clock thing perfect as the game chugs on, but we had 3 time-outs inside one minute. Unacceptable unless you're ahead or tied and want the O.T.
  3. What's with SF and not using the clock? We had 3 time outs as the clock ticked down to 40 some seconds.
  4. I guess he kind of threw that up for grabs. Not smart.
  5. Dare we yet utter that we got rid of some staff who were dragging us down?
  6. Don't fret, OP. If you want to feel better about this take a look at my Obituary thread.
  7. That part about Nixon and China and Tommy Frazier and Miami is the best.

  9. Hope so. But it's a tough call for many reasons (those reasons really stacked up this past week or two). Looking at the Badgers' scores we see that they have one hell of a stingy defense. Two of their three losses were exceptions to that, those against Notre Dame and Michigan. The other one a low scoring loss to Penn State. I feel badly for our O line in this coming game.. and of course Adrian, too. I'm hoping we can find ways to get down field; the comparative stats say no, we can't. But, again, I'm hoping we can find a way. Hate to say it but your score prediction looks okay except for the winner and loser. But, I'll go out on a limb and say we will find a way as the shakeup of this past several days will have our boys on fire and we'll win it in a close game.
  10. Our team is playing as best it can. Kudos to the (former) coaching staff for getting them to do that, Special Teams an exception perhaps.
  11. T.O. mentioned studying the Florida teams, as to schemes and even the style of recruiting. He seemed to make it okay to admit to learning from winners out there. I admit to being curious if studying Alabama could help Nebraska, as to O line play (particularly in the red zone) and other areas where it appears that they're trained to just be 100% tough each and every play.. and business-like (for the most part). Hard to train into players because it is cultural, but I sometimes think it'd help to do that and Alabama has things we used to have as to those qualities. Looking at old film of us in the 70s, 80s, and 90s can only go so far because of the changes in football that we've failed at.. so I do wonder if it makes sense to look at a program that is like that and successful in the modern era.
  12. Well, MSNBC revels in their liberal slant, just as Fox "News" does their lying sack of $h*t imitations every broadcast, night and day as they strain to appear conservative (which they do not know the definition of, apparently). But the network that bothers me most is CNN, who manufactures issues then feeds off those issues. They basically created Lord Cheeto back in 2015 by giving him free face time for hours a day as he spewed his nonsense (nonsense he does not believe but uses to gather like minded idiots). Now we watch as CNN is once again attempting to lift him to legitimacy as a 2024 candidate. Old fashioned yellow journalism on a huge mass scale.
  13. Scott Frost has been showing signs all along of being deficient in critical thinking. Not a clever man much at all. Even his remarks following games sounds like they could be uttered by someone who has thoughts but no insights. He also seems to surround himself with like minded people. Thank God for the Trev Alberts hire. I think he’s on to Frost as to those deficiencies.
  14. Well... I don't think our BB HC is satisfied at all with what's going on out there on that floor; most of the kids are not even making an effort to rebound.. selfish lot, it appears. Hate to criticize them but sheesh. I don't know how HCs of any sport can deal with todays me me me me crap. Used to be that was just one player on a team that way.. now.. seems like the m.o. of several.
  15. Well... are we talking about coaching issues? I hate to channel Husker football energy into this area.
  16. I take back everything I thought about this team during the off season. Didn't have the nerve to say any of it.. burned too many times. Creighton? Hell I don't know... 81 to 74.
