  1. I can't read the article, but. . .talk is cheap. At the same time, press conference quotes are meaningless and shouldn't have much read into them. Coach Frost said some nice things about his team, he also declared them a 4-8 team until they themselves prove otherwise. Who gives a crap? I missed where he declared the team "back and here to stay". I'm not saying anything Earth-shattering here, I know :|
  2. Good call on that Northwestern blow out. Keep it up.
  3. Poor Cindy, she didn't stand a chance. Also, good for those teams. One week doesn't impact another in CFB.
  4. Nobody Beats the Cornhuskers Cornhuskers Beat Suckeyes BECAUSE THEY'RE THE WRONG ****ING NETWORK INITIALS, I SWEAR IT'S FUNNY YOU GUYS. OK fine it's not.
  5. 17-3 in 2010. 59-20 in 2013 with freshman Tommy Armstrong starting his first game. Neither of those outcomes really means much in the context of 2019 of course. Minny looked average. Just 1 game, but. . .we'll see.
  6. There is also no E in lightning. But it does sound like cloud cover will be lightening by kickoff. So calm down Edit: Missed Capo's post! +1s for you sir!
  7. Here's a recap of the 2007 defense in re: how the blackshirts were surrendered/lost. I only vaguely remembered Zack Bowman giving up his.
  8. Cheatham, Burke Lift Huskers to Victory in Italy
  9. Yeah, think of the media sources today didn't even exist pre-internet. Yahoo!, Rivals, 247, whomever. It's definitely bloated. Like me. A fellow 85er
  10. "Sunday Night Football we ain’t messing around Al and John will make you crank up the sound" Obviously I doubt she wrote that herself, but still. . .
  11. I'd like NBC to ditch the SNF theme altogether, I've cringed at all of them, even Pink :p
  12. 8-7 to a godawful Penn State team in 2017? 3-2 to a pretty bad Rutgers team in 2016? Losing every series to Iowa after 2012? Scoring 1 run against Western Carolina in the 2016 regional (a team that gave up 30+ runs total in their other two games at said regional)? Before somebody suggests it: NO, no team has ever gone undefeated. But I wouldn't even put Oklahoma State Saturday night near the list of weirdest losses the last 8 years.
  13. He pitched the day before, plays 1B, has to run between the bullpen and the on-deck circle in the 8th, etc., fatigue may have been a factor. Not to mention pitching out of the stretch knocked 3-5 MPH off his heater.
  14. Stillwater is an hour away. That'd be like calling the B1G tournament neutral.
  15. Michigan's non-con SOS is ranked 222nd (yes, that's three 2s), Nebraska's is 5th. 41 wins may do it, but they're being projected as either one of the last ones in, or as d1baseball put it, "in but not comfortably."
  16. Never mind that as of 5/24 Nebraska ranked 201st in the nation in team batting average (.259), 213th in slugging % (.367), 179th in runs, etc. etc.
  17. Probably "too close" to be comfortably overturned. The ump missed a strike 3 two batters before, so arguably it shouldn't have gotten to that point anyway
  18. Erstad definitely schedules tough enough that as long as they finish above .500, they'll be in more often than not (2015 was an exception, I think Texas tanked that year, go figure and screw them). Not to dump in the middle of a successful conference tourney run, but better play from the end of March to beginning of May, and this team might have had a shot at hosting a regional. But they're definitely in somewheres.
  19. Yyyeaah, f*** that guy. He talked way too much last weekend, also
  20. I wonder if Waldron felt snubbed by the All-Conference selections, hmmm. Proved his point if so.
  21. Hopefully he keeps the grades steady, as well.
