I haven't, but I have a friend who really likes that.

It's too bad they gave you bad polenta in the cafeteria. It's so easy to make so well.

It does sound easy, although this article that I started with this morning makes it seem like you have to keep whisking it nonstop but that's the only place I've seen that 

I've made quick & sleazy polenta with just a couple cups of broth brought to a boil, some corn meal, stirred a couple of times, add milk & butter after a bunch of the broth soaked in, then stirred in some Gorgonzola and boom, done.
