  1. We're an offensive juggernaut that trips over its own shoelaces. If the offense plays any of these last few games mistake free, they're all blowouts. The defense has improved a lot. I think we're getting better and steadily improving all year long, which is what championship teams do. So that's pleasing. The discipline isn't complete, but the heart is strong.
  2. Do you think it's Nebraksa hate? OR just something that the coaches should try to teach the DBs differently? I mean, tonight there were some bad calls all around.. but I wish things were different. It gets in the way of the game. These refs are just... IDK.... I think they were better in the second half. But the first half was ridiculous. PI calls are atrocious. I wish there was a petition to get people to look at and review these calls, or set new standards.
  3. "There I was, ONE lion here, ONE lion there. Nothing but me, my bare fists, and my trusty knife" *PIE IN THE FACE* "Oh me, never have I been through such a lion fight" - that's all I have to say G damn. IDK what to say. Glad I watched it all.
  4. Should have went to Nebraska. He's a good player though, so, respect.
  5. the officials are just retarded. Reviewing unnecessary plays, weird penalties. they seem to be about 30% 'good calls' so far...
  6. Great drive. no points. Refs need to bench themselves. It's just unnecessary.
  7. couple BS PI calls, they scored, we ran the ball down their throat, we scored this
  8. We need to play Tampa Two Turnovers - like cover 2 but with more picks
  9. The weekly honor was the second of the season for the 2011 Big Ten Punter and Place-Kicker of the Year, and Maher's fifth career award, tying for the most special teams weekly honors in conference history. http://www.huskers.com/ViewArticle.dbml?SPSID=1&SPID=22&DB_LANG=C&ATCLID=205721677&DB_OEM_ID=100
  10. "The JP in JP SMITH stands for "just-pleased" ....." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ytCEuuW2_A Seriously, one of the lamest commentator attempts at name puns, ever.
  11. I'm trying to find it in the game film but don't see much yet, the camera might not be on the proper sideline.
  12. I'm trying to find it right now. Which incomplation was it after?
  13. I can't stand this one bullsh#t motion dive play that NU always, always runs. I think there was an actual play action off of it last time v Michigan. But I just feel like there has to be something other than the most obvious slam/dive play ever --- goaline 3TE set, and the widest Te goes in motion across the field, then runs back, and chops his feet waiting for the play to snap in the exact spot where the ball is going. I think that's just an ugly play, and I'd never call it if I were coahing or pretending to coach in a video game. There have been a few times where NU has used it back to back, getting stuffed both times... and I wish that wasn't our 'go to run play' for short yardage. ugh. I'll look to see if they did do a playaction off of it..
  14. (I'm replaying the game and watching his punts again, thus far, so I figure I bring this up here)
  15. Ok, so, Bret's kicks appeared to have a little more 'POW' to them. I remember commentators remarking about the FG as well as line drive / bullet punts. Bret was very good last year, doing double duty then, too. But I don't remember him ever kicking the ball like this before, with more explosiveness and bullet-ness. Thoughts?
  16. in my book, the refs officially gave MICH 3 points. 45 yards in penalties in one drive, on three penalties? suck a big one, really.
  17. just end this game. Get another TO and a TD. ENd it and get t he hell out of here, making everything good .
  18. It has sometimes, but it's been overcalled. I could predict a lot of the stuffs that happened. THere's a time for dives and quick gut calls. But there's a lot of strength in spreading the field, esp w Ameer. Gotta pound them with that.
