I must be slow. Are you telling me that most of this is predicated on interpreting "make America great again" and "take our country back" as code for screw everybody except straight white Christian males? I guess if that's what somebody thinks will really happen, all the arm flailing makes more sense.

I've thought some about what Trump has promised to do. The issue is that he's so incredibly vague on almost every single one of his promises. Easy example-- on minimum wage, he's said that wages our too high and he wants to get rid of minimum wage, while also saying he wants to raise wages so people can get by. Well which is it?

The one's he's not vague on-- like the border wall, mass deportations, or the Muslim ban won't happen.

He's all over the place on most everything. He's a true wild-card, and everyone has different expectations. Everyone chose to hear what they wanted to hear-- one of the appealing but deceiving features of deciding your platform every day when you roll out of bed.

I do think the people who bought into his nationalist policies like the wall and the Muslim ban are going to be disappointed. And they deserve to be. Those are idiotic ideas.
