    If you could pick anywhere to live in the U.S. where would that be and why? Wife and I are kinda thinking of moving, right now we're looking at Colorado, but aren't really set on anything.

    Wife and I finished the Ken Burns Vietnam documentary last night. To say it's incredible would be an understatement.

      It's more like 18 hours, lol. I've always been a history buff, but I've never really spent too much time studying the Vietnam war. Ken did a great job interviewing people from all angles of the conflict, and the stories were just so good.

    TICKET REQUESTS:

    From the University... Does anyone know when you typically find out about that stuff and how it works? I requested additional away tickets to the Wisconsin game and additional home tickets against Colorado. I'm not holding my breath on the home game, but was hopeful for Wisconsin. TIA

      @knapplc I would bet money it's your shoes. I went from struggling to do a single 5K run because of the pain, to absolutely none at all. The only thing that slows me down is the weather.

       

      @ZRod The place I went to didn't charge for that, but they obviosuly want you to buy shoes from them. I did it (and spent $120 for shoes) but have been able to find them for under $90 each time afterwards by looking online.

      @ZRod See if you have a running store near you to get stride tested. They'll check your run with cameras and sensors to get you the right shoes. I went from fighting shin splints in Adidas/Nike/New Balance/Asics (tried them all) shoes to a never having them again when I got some Mizuno's (Wave Inspire). I've been buying the same style every 300 miles (from cheaper stores), and I haven't had problems since. I think I'm on my 4th pair since I started using those.

      Get an armband for your phone, and I'd suggest trying podcasts for running. It helps me to not concentrate on the fact that I'm running. I started by doing C25K in 2012, and now I'm at the point where I do a 5k run about 3 times a week. I've been using Runkeeper since then, mapping and tracking my runs. This time of year sucks because it's so hot and humid, but it's worth it. I'm thinking about doing a Disney Star Wars 10K or half next year.

    So I found out last night driving in the left lane is actually something you can get a ticket for in Nebraska. A $74 dollar ticket going 74 in a 75.

     

    I haven't been this annoyed at something this inconsequential in a very long time.

      The trick is.... don’t cook it low and slow. Cool it at like 450 for perfect cook.

      Usually it's right around Memorial day. Because of the new TV contract, it's a little more convoluted than years past. Last year it was on May 31st, so I'd expect it around then.
