@HuskerNBigD If our football team is where we all want it to be, they wouldn't be playing for another 2 1/2 weeks. We would absolutely fill our time with Volleyball; we have before.

@BoSolich Because it's a heck of a lot more entertaining to watch? I think the storied program resonates with the fans. I'd also venture to guess that a lot more young girls grow up in the state playing the sport, hence why it is more popular. Doesn't hurt that the program has a very storied history.

@funhusker Don't disagree that time wouldn't be filled with it. I just think people would talk to other sports fans about the upcoming bowl game, not necessarily talking about the Volleyball game. But that is just an opinion on a message board.
