Football players (especially linemen) have a finite number of years their body. Why should a guy spend another year in college playing football, especially when they have their degree (in VV's case). They might as well go try to earn some good cash while they can.

Unless he could have came back, showed what he could really do with some good coaching, raise his draft stock, and make more money. Just b/c you have your degree doesn't mean you should quit college football and try your luck at the pros. Its all about agents whispering BS in your ear so they can get theirs.
