@knapplc It's....5.5 HP, 24" electric start. And it's a pretty red color . When I first got it I always plugged it in and used the electric start but then I discovered it starts very easy with a simple pull of the cord. IIRC it was about $500, 10-15 years ago.

I think mine was south of $1k, but it works better than anything I had before. It can throw a foot of snow 20+ feet, which is key if you have a 3 car driveway or like to clear a pond for skating.

Every time I feel like buying a snowblower here in Lincoln, we have a mild winter. I think I've scooped more than a foot of snow once in the past five years.  Even with the way my garage/drive are oriented to the north/northwest wind, we don't get bad drifts, and I can scoop my way out of everything so far. 

Your back only has so many miles on it, though. I'll have to get a snowblower at some point, too.
