    Why are they playing the World Series? Wouldn't it be better if they just let some sportswriters and a computer vote on who wins?

      Cut the seasn down by even one game and the Cardinaals don't make the playoffs. Rays don't make playoffs. And Red Sox win first place in division. Look how much changed in just a few days and thats because they play 182 games.

      Even if They did away with the playoffs? in baseball, the regular season might be more tolerable, but the "sport" would still suck.
