  1. Congrats to all who have children joining the armed forces! What a big decision and they should be proud.
  2. sounds like it was a good show! Sully Erna from Godsmack is an amazing drummer, it is pretty sweet when they do the dueling drums. I always wanted to see Megadeth, glad to hear they still got it.
  3. I'd say it is real, I have seen some wicked car/deer accidents growing up in rural areas.
  4. Let a local hero get another chance to shine. Knapp is right, he will put butts in the seats, but as far as a publicity stunt goes, I think the Nighthawks are too young of a franchise to pull that off, these teams NEED guys who can play, washed up or not, they still play at a higher level than any of us could dream of. So I don't think they would just give Crouch a roster spot if they didn't think he could produce something.
  5. I would say based on that, you would enjoy a pool. Friends will be more likely to come party when you have a pool in the summertime. (and when I say friends, I mean girls ) Also if you have the cash to spare, put a deck at least on 1 side of it if you don't have one you can put a pool next too, makes for easier access in and out and you won't have to be constantly cleaning grass out of it.
  6. I have an above ground, it is a love/hate relationship. They do require maintenance no doubt and will eat up some time, but they are very nice to have. The only recommendation that I will make is to go to an established pool/spa company for info, and if you do get one, buy their chemicals, it may cost a little more but is 100% better than anything you will buy at a big box store. They not only work better but overall much better for your pool and liner. I test the water about every other day and actually only need to add chemicals once a week if even that. Keep your Ph balanced and your chlorine up. It is a time eating investment no doubt, but I will say it is worth it when it is hot and you can just walk out your back door and hop in with a cold beer. We do not have a community pool in town so that was another factor in getting one.
  7. Ohio St vacates all wins from 2010...big shocker HA!

  8. At first glance it looks like an old ground water pump that I have, but the foot pedal threw me way off. I have no idea. Interesting find though.
  9. A couple things always bother me about UFO sightings 1- How do they not burn up while entering the atmosphere? 2- What allows them to hover and move effortlessly across the sky? Gravity does not apply to them? 3- Like someone said earlier, how are they NOT detected by any radar or satellite imagining and blown out of the sky?
  10. No, what would be worse is if he does worse than he did here. People wouldn't know what to do if they couldn't blame an unusual outcome on Shawn Watson. Good point
  11. What would really suck if he just tears it up at whatever school he ends up at. There would be a lot of moments around here.
  12. Yeah, McNeill got the shaft last year when we went with Martinez, who wasn't nearly as prolific a passer as Lee. With Lee at the helm I bet we pass a LOT more, and McNeill's numbers look tons better. That's a fair statement, thought McNeill was in for a monster year, but wasn't meant to be. Hope the tables turn for Reed and the TE becomes a regular in the offense, they need to use all the tools they can this year.
  13. They hype for Vandenburg is similar to when Jake Christensen took over for Tate. Iowa has produced QB's out of nowhere, but have also had a couple of flops too.
  14. ok I guess, but hope to not see them on every good play or TD
  15. Maybe its just me, but College Football is starting to feel a little on par with organized crime. except for Jersey and big hairy Italian dudes and bodies in the river and stuff. Seriously though, money under the table, shady car and home deals, ticket scandals, academic infractions, the list goes on and on...
  16. I guess I should be an Iowa fan cause I drive a Dodge Intrepid Don't sell yourself that short!
  17. how perfect that a cop was parked in a bike lane it baffles me that they actually do give fines to people riding bikes in NYC.
  18. I think it is nothing more than close fan bases getting to poke a little fun. These are 2 of the most integrated fan bases in the western IA/eastern NE area. I can't even count on one hand fans of other schools besides ISU or Kansas in this region, so who would want a "Beat OU or Beat Penn St" shirt? No one would care... Just think of it as a novelty item, like a Sam Keller Jersey
  19. What time you starting? I will bring my locator and give you a depth if you have that in your backyard!
  20. It must be my out-of-stateness getting the best of me but if I ever see one of those in a store here in Omaha I am buying one, unless my in-stateness won’t allow me to. I have only been an in-stater for 11 of my 36 years so I’m assuming my out-of-state side will win out in the end. I’m confused on what is so bad about this shirt? Is it because as Nebraska fans we are supposed to be above calling out any one opponent? If so we dropped the ball on that one a long time ago. This isn’t the first t-shirt to come out that has singled out one game. Also if you ask me It is better then any of the stupid T-Magic shirts or the retarded USC condom shirts that people wore when we played them in Lincoln or the always popular Got Frank shirts that morons were wearing 2004 or Corn Coast offense or Got Bo or Bofense or No Buff To Tough or the Camouflage Larry the Cable Guy crap.
  21. My sentiments exactly. Hopefully around 8 inches. I've been told to put the base material (gravel) around 5 inches for this area, sand about an inch, and then 2 inches for the bricks (Want them flush with the pavement we have down already). sorry guys, utilities are not required to give you a depth, it would be a safe bet that your electric is at least 18-36 inches deep, as for Cox it could be 6-18 in deep. Another thing to remember is that locating is not an EXACT location of where the cable runs, diggers hotline states that you must be aware of 18 inches on either side of the mark for the location of the cable. Just use extra caution while digging over a mark, best bet is to dig slow and try to see if you can expose the Cox line at least, if you cant and you have hit your depth you are good. Good luck and BE SAFE!
  22. lame yes, but I will probably buy one anyway...
