This is just a plain terrible idea. As a student at UNK I like to see the football rivalary against UNO. Can't believe they would get rid of two successful programs. Doesn't make sense.

its a tough rule but I'm glad that they upheld it. good to see a school sticking to some morals, even if I don't agree with the mormon faith.

Thank you. i would tend to agree in principle, but we've all seen crazier things happen. if the almighty dollar starts rearing its head and getting thrown around...never can tell what will happen. plus, there would be benefits to both schools having div one hockey programs. a lot of money is being spent around omaha to promote hockey in general. more rinks/kids/teams, more teams/kids/rinks...its a symbiotic relationship. both lincoln and omaha have shown they can, and will, support hockey, and that people are excited about it in general. there was a story in the weird herald not long ago that talked about the exponential growth of youths in nebraska taking up the sport. and from fantasy land...how cool would hockey be in the coliseum??? As far as I know, Lincoln and Omaha are the only two places you will find legitimate interest in kids playing ice hockey leagues in the state. Could be wrong though. There is the Viaero Events Center here in Kearney where the USHL Tri-City Storm play at. There are youth and adult hockey leagues too.

all the recruits should have been told ahead of time, ugh, I'm tired of all the drama. what else can the media and the staff do to make Nebraska look bad?

I would love to see Nebraska get hockey. I got to UNK and I've been hoping we would get a team here as well.

Big Ten fail.

I love night games in general. I went to the Kansas Nebraska night game this fall and it was freezing and I have to say the crowd wasn't into it. Half of that was the cold I believe and the other half that we were all positive that Kansas wasn't going to win. I know the Colorado game back in 2009 definitely wasn't a hot night but yet the crowd was definitely into it. So I say bring on the night games and bring on the overalls.

remember this summer when there were so many different theories on how the conference realignment would work out? and there was this gradyoso scheme about 5 or 6 teams going to the pac 10 or sec or big 10. howd that all turn out? two teams moving on, this is same kind of thing. lots of ifs and maybes, chances are slim that it all plays out that way. this is getting blown out of proportion indeed.

oh how I love simple offenses that do what theyre suppose to. enough trying to confuse the opponent when all it does is confuse ourselves.

I would rather have a player that is confident in the way he plays, more so than how he talks the talk. I always love the players that are awesome athletes, are humble, and quiet about themselves, and lead by what they put out on the field. I hope Starling comes here, I also hope that he can be confident without a ton of talk. Play for your teammates with all your heart, build them up, don't tear em down. Theres enough people in the world trying to tear each other down already.

10-4 is great compared to the Callacant years. The most dissappointiing thing about this year though was it looked like it all was coming together, and that this would be Nebraska's year to get to the BCS. We also had alot of senior talent which is sad to see go. We'll just have to be more patient I guess.

go to college Bubba get a degree and then after baseball you still have something to make a living with. go to school and become the man you were meant to be.

well Urban Meyer just got done with Florida saying he wants to get away from coaching. I can't see him taking on another role right now. I have no clue who tOSU would want.
