  1. I absolutely believe that Suh would be really hard to replace. He played outstanding the second half of the season. What people have to remember the rest of the line benefited from Suh as Suh did from them they played well together. The first responsibility of the D-line is to plug the middle to help free up the LB's and then pursue with penetration to the ball carrier or QB depending on the situation. IMO Steinkuhler was very underated this year and did a good job and so did Alen and Potter, but Suh IMO is something special. It will be hard to see Ganz go. I think his charector outweighed his talent and that's why he ended up being so good. I do think that we will find a suitable backup to replace him though.
  2. I don't think Cody Green fits into Kiffin's offense either if Taj Boyd didn't. Cody says he is not taking calls from other schools anyway, so I'm feeling pretty good he'll be N. Besides, he's got to be on a campus in January so not a lot of time to take other visits with the holidays approaching. FYI Rivals will be re-evaluating him in January so he might still move up on their ratings. Thanks for the confidence boost. I read that this morning and though OH NO!! LOL should have laid off the coffee earlier maybe.
  3. I really don't think that most of the CU fans (not all) are smart enough about the game to really talk much smack and be able to back it up anyway. IMO they just pretty much like to cause problems for fun
  4. I don't want to alarm anyone, but do we need to be worried now that Lane Kiffin and the Vols are going to be going after Green now that they told Bryce Petty that he does not fit their new offense and have their eyes on a few other prospects? We were going after him early I guess before he gave his verbal and was still solid to the Vols until now. I read the article on Kiffin's conversation with him on Sporting news
  5. I am positive your not saying there is a good time to throw an interception. I think that I agree with what you're trying to say(I may be wrong I guess too) but I think that Joe is a very good QB but sometimes his decision making ability is lacking, espeacially when things are happening very fast like they were that night with the rush. That's what separates him from Bradford, McCoy, and Harrell. IMO Otherwise I think that he is exactly what I said; not a great, but very good QB. I think his charector makes Joe who he is though.
  6. oh, i didn't know..... guess i don't drink enough white lightnin. It's actually not bad. ...unless you get the kind that makes you go blind of course... But if done right its pretty good stuff. Hah, the taste is not to bad maybe!! The last time I drank that stuff wasn't so great. I guess we already had a few drinks after celebrating the welcome home of one of my good friends, from Iraq. We decided to crack that damn bottle open and the next thing I remember is my wife waking me up for work and I am laying face down half on the bed and my coat and shoes were still on. That stuff is NOT good
  7. I know that TO is no mind reader or anything, but I do think that he is a good judge of charector. I think that if he sensed at all that Bo would bolt he would have never hired him in the first place. I see him here for at least 10 if not longer. JMO. But like someone said earlier Bizarre things do happen and that's life. Oh yeah I am really beginning to like the style that Paul Johnson has brought to the table for GT. They have a really good coach IMO.
  8. LMAO, but don't tell people from Omaha that.
  9. I think that red shirting him will be the best thing. I don't think the QB transition will be as big of a deal as the WR position. I may take a hit for saying that, but the returning recievers were pretty inconsistant this year. Our OL line on the other hand should be pretty stout next year and that will help loads with the new QB. But, If Mr. Green comes in and proves to be the best QB out there then he should start IMHO.
  10. Yeah, but going to the ground would have sealed the game too, without having to risk a fumble. Also, it's not that someone would have stopped him, it's the risk that someone runs him down from behind and punches the ball out. It's not likely to happen and I don't think it's a big deal, but he really should just go down in that scenario and it's game over. That said, I did take great pleasure the TD. If someone would have ran him down they would have only swung and hit his monster bicep and he would have still scored after throwing Hawkins A$$ to the ground GBR
  11. I think Gill would be great there...I wish him all the luck in the world getting that job and being successful with it. He will always be a Husker...that is the great thing. Geez I don't know, Auburn is a big time pressure cooker with Nick Saban staring at you just down the road. Plus Tubberville is an extremely hard act to follow, one of the best coaches, IMO--AU is making a big mistake in getting rid of him. I mean, they are looking at a MI type scenario for the next few years no matter how you slice it. Just not sure if Turner has the mojo for that job/environment at this point. I think Syracuse is a better fit. I absolutely agree with you here. There are to many politics involved down there as well. I also think Syracuse would be an excellent fit for him. I really think that our team would benefit more if Watson would stay though, and the rest of the staff for that matter. I know there may be some better coaches out there, but the continuity of this staff right now seems to be working and could get this turned around a lot faster then people think IMO. I hope he stays, and I think he did a fantastic job this year as did the rest of the staff. I think people need to sit back and think about what happend last season, and appreciate where we are right now!!
  12. Hell NO he shouldn't take a knee there!!! Are you kidding me? That stiff arm was the best one I have seen all year, and should have been on the game changing performances. Smith was on what the five yard line and in a crowd of people if I remember corectly, but He just reacted to the INT. He should have fell down, because there was no way he was going to take it to the house, but Suh on the other hand, where he intercepted it, He did the right thing. IMO AWESOME!!!!
  13. Your link is incorrect. It should be http://www.huskerpedia.com/games/1990/12georgiatech.html Thanks for the help
  14. While you're trying to find that, I'll remind you of the last time NU wore all whites in a bowl game in Florida against an ACC team. http://www.huskerpedia.com/games/1990/12georgiatech.html I don't get it where's the picture
  15. Nice clean up LOL. But I hope people don't start thinking that Clemson is going to be a push over.
  16. Damn you beat me to it!! Fight you for them
  17. I am also wondering what is up for sure with no rankings or more looks for that matter. I did love the hit on his blocker that he laid to make the tackle.
  18. I am hoping and the way it sounds this guy will have the hands of Swift or Peterson and the size and speed to make big plays with our short passing game. His size I think will fit in well with where the coaches are heading with the offense espeacially with blocking down field. Awesome
  19. Just because I want to add this. I would never take Daniels over Reesing. Anyway, Suh will get next year to dominate, and so will Henery as much as a kicker can. There is a lot of talent in the big twelve and they will only get better playing against each other.
  20. Looks as though he could be a stud. hopefully he stays N. Who blew coverage anyway? LMAO
  21. Now that is funny!!! Our Vizsla just stared at my wife and I like we were crazyy!! Probably wasn't to far off though
  22. I think that we need to quit bringing this up as well, but He knows how much another year under this staff would benefit him. Look at where they helped him to get from last year. I acctually can't believe the difference, and not only in him.
  23. Since were on the subject of Ref's screwing us out of a title, how about FSU in 93. I'll never forget a newspaper article (sports writer from the south somewere) that was quoted in the World Hearld. Basically, said that the tourists weren't the only ones screwed in Florida last night, plus, the FBI is still looking for the supposed clip along with Jimmy Hoffa's body. Not to mention the FSU fumble before they cross the goal line, that was signalled a touchdown. Oh yeah, and we recovered the ball if memory serves me correct. Anyway, I'm not bitter. Personaly, I would much rather play FSU. We owe them bigtime. And while were discussing possible matchups, I DO NOT want to play Georgia Tech, man they look good. Yeah there is a poster in a frame at a bar that I go to that has the fumble the ref looking to the side blowing his nose. On the bottom it reads: The final Blow
