  1. We're not losing to UCLA in Lincoln. Just not gonna happen.
  2. Or by conferences: PAC - 121 (who needs meth when you got legal marijuana) Big 12 - 1281 (losing Missouri cut this by more than half) ACC - 1322 Big 10 - 3874 SEC - 5413 (Mississippi is so low due to having only 3 internet access points in the entire state) You can't buy Sudafed in many Pac 12 states anymore. That's made a HUGE difference.
  3. News outlets are reporting that Mike Ekeler has signed on with USC to be their linebackers coach. I guess the co-coordinator gig wasn't all he'd hoped.
  4. Boise State will never be a full member of the Pacific XX. They're not a research university.
  5. Would you have a problem Heard getting those numbers? By all accounts, De'Anthony Thomas is better than Braylon and he isn't complaining. I wouldn't, but Braylon, to this point, has had nowhere even close to that kind of involvement. A RB that gets 45 receptions (never mind targets) while playing behind a healthy #1 has a lot of on-field time. I could see how the staff might want that for Heard next year, but he has doubts. He also returns punts and kicks. The Black Mamba has had WAY more involvement in Oregon's O than Braylon did in ours. I hope Bo is able to change his mind. Every program needs at least 2 good backs. Losing him would be a big loss. Bo needs to show Braylon how important he is to the program.
  6. Agree with everything except the Oregon reference. Until a stadium is larger than a phone booth and until the fan base populates it over DECADES, it has no place at the table. They get 60K in there and it's louder than Memorial. I hate the Ducks, but the "walk the walk" line is funny. They've been to four straight BCS games. We've been to one.
  7. I regret not leaving that cesspool sooner. Bitterness aside, UNL definitely made a great decision in joining the B1G. Had the Pac 12 taken Texas and the others, we may very well be playing in the Big 6 right now with Kansas, Kansas State, Iowa State, Okie State, us and Baylor...or some other configuration just as bad.
  8. I think being bipolar and not taking meds had more to do with Robinson going AWOL.
  9. I disagree. He didnt leave for us for an equal position the first time, why would he the second. Not to mention, if Helfrich has the same success (which isnt totally absurd to think), he could be gone in 3-4 years too, leaving Frost possible their unspoken coach in waiting. Helfrich leaving would be interesting. It would be like one of us getting the Nebraska job and only staying for 3-4 years. He grew up a Ducks fan and his dad played for Oregon's freshmen team back in the day. If he got a job in the pros, sure, but no way he leaves for a lateral job.
  10. And NC State didn't offer the program he wanted to study. Masoli was able to do the same thing when he left Oregon for Mississippi. Oregon didn't have a Master's of PE program I just read the transfer rules. Hedley does appear to be correct. I seems you do have to sit a year when moving up a level. I didn't think that was the case, but it seems to be. I stand corrected.
  11. Sources close to the program are telling the AP that Mark Helfrich will be named head coach on Sunday and that Scott Frost will be named OC. It would be cool to see a few Nebraska wrinkles in the offense.
  12. Unless there's been a rule change I don't know about, he won't have to sit. Western Illinois isn't a D1 school.
  13. Yes, Crawford was on his way. The Devil Rays gave him a tasty bonus and he decided to play baseball. I remember seeing Solich right afterwards and he was laughing saying 'hey, how am I supposed to compete against a million dollar bonus.'
  14. Ngata's story was his nearly 100 year old dad was ill and he wanted to be closer to home in Utah. After a very brief flirtation with U of Utah, he ended up at Oregon. HIs father died shortly there after.
  15. We have the same outlook this offseason as we did the last. We're looking at a good offense and what will probably be a terrible defense. The guru will have a second chance to prove he's worth the money. What's in our favor is an easier schedule potentially.
  16. I completely agree. Martinez is faster than Tommie Frazier ever was and, if my memory serves me correct, is a statistically better thrower. Frazier had a 48% completion percentage in 1995. Can you imagine the uproar if Taylor threw for that low of a percentage?
  17. Michigan's D was very good. Their O? Not so much. Griese, not that great.
  18. Nobody has touched on the most important part....there are still 8 seconds left in that Rose Bowl game.
