  1. does anyone remember espn's response when they had the tournament for best college football team of all time?? we got both of the finals spots and at the end of the program they said we'll find a way to make sure this doesn't happen again. enough said
  2. I don't know about you guys but I'm getting sick of all the media saying the Big 12 teams have no defenses and that is why some of the teams will lose their bowl games. What makes the SEC defenses so much better? I know, they don't have to play the offenses of Texas, Mizzouri, Oklahoma, and Texas Tech (just to name a few) every week. All they are doing is looking at are the stats which I pay a lot of attention to also, but this time they're wrong. Why don't these guys understand that?
  3. Lets finish this season off first. we haven't beat colorado yet, we still might not make it to the Gator Bowl, and this season could end a lot worse than people are thinking. ONE WEEK AT A TIME. (can't get worse than ksu though in bringing back snyder)
  4. the polls are so messed up this year, Tulsa, North Carolina, and BALL STATE (who Callahan was even able to beat...barely) of all teams are in the top 25. just wait a few years when NEBRASKA starts beatin everyone like we beat ksu then who cares who gets the votes cause we'll be back at the top
  5. WHO CARES?!?! we killed Freeman on the play, he was only in for 1 drive the second half, and he was definatly rethinking his choice to go to KSU after that it, that is if he could even think after it!!! THE BLACKSHIRTS ARE BACK AND THAT HIT PROVES IT!!!!! GBR!!!
  6. I think the best options would be going back to the Alamo Bowl with Pelini or going to the Gator Bowl on New Years Day in Pelini's first year AND we would take Notre Dame's spot in that game if we get into it.
  7. I was about to ask a colorado fan got onto our web site
  8. Even if we had beaten Texas Tech we wouldn't be in the top 25 because they wouldn't be the #2 team in the nation. We really didn't have a chance this year.
  9. If I was Ron Prince I would be happy about getting away from that type of stuff and a team whose most memorable play was one that should have had a personal foul call on it. they got what they deserved though, a killing, another loss, and NO BOWL GAME AGAIN!!!! GATOR BOWL HERE WE COME!!!!
  10. Things just got a little better for k-state and maybe worse for us. Prince resigned and this shows how easy it was for k-state to let him go, they say they might hire a new coach before the season is even over. BYE BYE PRINCE I'LL MISS YOU (and our blowout wins)
  11. I live in Kansas and I'm sick of hearing of how great KU is going to be this year and how all the fans are acting because this is there first 10+ winning season in 100+ years. I see them easily lossing 5-8 games this year- Florida International (W) Louisiana Tech (W) @ South Florida (?) Sam Houston State (W) @ Iowa State (W) Colorado (?) @ Oklahoma (L) Texas Tech (L) Kansas State (? rivalry) @ NEBRASKA (L) Texas (L) Missouri (L) There is no doubt they will lose to OU, TT, and MU, I think they will lose to NEB because of when we get to play them and Texas because they are a much better team then the teams KU played last year. The questionable games are South Florida (was ranked as high as 2nd in the nation last year) Colorado (who knows what to expect after the first two years) K-State (never can predict an in-state rivalry, expecially with Prince's job on the line) Hopefully all goes as planned, KU finishes 4-8 and talking about the football season will not be heard in Kansas (because K-State is going to be even worse this year).
  12. I live in Wichita, KS, it's a good 4 1/2 hours up to Lincoln and I still plan on going to at least 2 games this year so I doubt it will affect the turnouts (at least until the 300th sellout) got to go to that game!
  13. Once the CU-NU game has some meaning every year we could consider it a rivalry but as of now, the MU-NU game has much more meaning year in and year out. Besides, why would the BEST fans in college football become rivals with the WORST?
  14. They should find a way to make this work. Go to a system like the Big 10 uses where they don't play every team but there are no divisions so they get to play to same teams every year except once in a while.

  16. That's terrible, even if he would turn out to be like his brother (playing wise) this is still a terrible thing to happen to a good kid. Wish him the best.
  17. If we could get any of the four RB's we're recruiting that would be great. The others are - David Oku, 5'-10", 186, 4.49, from Midwest City, Ok (Neb one of six remaining schools) Rex Burkhead, 5'11", 191, 4.5, from Plano, TX Bradon Wegher, 5'11", 190, 4.42, from Sioux City, Iowa (4-star, Neb 1 of at least 7 schools left) Any of these guys would be great to have once we don't have Lucky any more
  18. That picture of him doesn't look like he wieghs 220 pounds, maybe he should try playing at 260 like Josh Freeman, he's bigger than there starting TE's. That explains a lot about there football program.
  19. The first time I left, I probably would've bet a large amount that I never would have been back here, but obviously, things changed when Coach Osborne came back," Pelini said. "You just think that most of the time, those things don't come back around. Thank goodness he IS back here.
