OSU by 40. Just don't think we are in the clear yet. Rest of the season will be tough.

OSU has two weeks to prepare and is going to be pissed off and anxious to take the Purdue loss out on the Huskers. I'm scared.

NU Alternate/Throwback Unis for Illinois

You probably would if you watch lsu with any sort of consistency. Would be the same thing that the casual cfb fan would say about a couple of our red ones over the past few years years, I'd imagine. -

Or actually play physical at the LOS. Or play off the line. Or get pressure on the qb. Or basically anything different than what we're doing now. -

Doesn't matter if qb has a weak deep ball. Simple formula has been working thus far. Beat mediocre NU "press" coverage Throw ball anywhere in vicinity (under throw preferred) Obtain DPI flag and 15 yards. Easy money -
Defensive Issues - Who's more at fault?
Lyons in the Sea of Red. replied to Red_Payne's topic in Husker Football
Has Cam Taylor not been performing well when the ball is not thrown his way? It seems like when it has been the limited amount of times this season, he's been in their hip pocket. Perhaps I'm missing some plays with my rose glasses on, but that kid shows a lot of promise and tenacity. Much more than another anointed corner... Also, what were the reasons that Chin is on the field? As another mentioned, I think him being in the box could help quite a bit. -
Yeah this feels like a controversial resignation. Connie Yori similarities.

Rumors circling that Greg Bell is also leaving. Absolutely absurd if true. -

Really seemed like it was starting to click for Honas. Unfortunate, but with this season pretty much a loss it could be a blessing for the future.

It wouldn't matter if we had deion sanders at corner, only reason Wisconsin is going to need to throw is if they get a personal foul or something that makes it 3rd and 25. And even then they still would have a fairly decent chance at running for the first down.
-
That option play was also poorly spaced between Martinez and the RB. This falls on the RB. That would be the first thing in ensuring the RB can get the edge. The second is Martinez forcing the end to make a play on him. That's obviously easier said than done, but if he gets Gary to commit we are probably looking at a first down. I'll take my chances RB vs safety running full speed. That's an extremely tough tackle.

Is it negative if it's true?

So there were some "what if" plays. There were also a large example of plays where the only "what if" there was is "what if Nebraska put 15 defenders on the field, would we have only gotten knocked off the line of scrimmage 3 yards instead of 5?"
-
Not really all that ridiculous. It's being reported in multiple places that he is pissed off about how things are going and didn't show up today.

I have not, and perhaps the army of Husker media folks I follow on Twitter haven't either, but the clips that are getting passed around are down right sad, physical domination. We had 27 yards in the first half. I don't know how you can sit there and say that's "not that bad". And I don't necessarily think you can put a lot of stock into the 2nd half, when they are playing non-starters. I understand he has to do the interviews. But we have heard the same things 3 weeks in a row. I just don't know how you can stand up there and continue to say "it's not as bad as it looks on film". For frosts sake I really hope we aren't outmatched by Purdue. Not saying he's in danger or anything, but he's not doing himself any favors with some of the stuff these pressers are setting him up for.

Things I thought I'd never hear: Purdue is favored over Nebraska in Lincoln. In football. -

Some of the quotes from Frost today really don't sit too well and are scary. "we aren't that far off" "the film wasn't as bad as it looked." Dude you got absolutely bullied. That team would have ran the ball and sacked the qb blindfolded. And for the love, please stop selecting Lamar Jackson for interviews.
