    Some of these rumors were just ridiculous. How would it be even possible for SE to offer Bielema & others & still find a 2nd or 3rd choice in 4 days. @HenryCordes: Quoting Harvey Perlman: ''No other coach was offered the job. There is absolutely no truth to any rumor or speculation to the contrary." I can already hear the "he's lying" crowd.

    I know just one big Pac12 guy (as big a college football as anyone - roots for Cal amazingly) and he calls this an A+ hire. Says teams are extremely disciplined, has a very good eye for talent and beat USC at #3 in 2006 and #1 in 2008 (also beat Cal at #2 in 2007).

    The longer the search goes on the more I will agree with the OP's statement. The way SE handled it makes me think he either has a coach in mind and will do whatever it takes to get him or he already had multiple conversations with multiple coaches and serious interest was expressed. If we go 2-3 weeks and hear nothing, I'll be very worried. You can also wave the recruiting class goodbye.

    Two odd dreams I've had in the last 2 nights: 1) found out my favorite pasta salad recipe came from Britney Spears and then made it with her. 2) I went to a speech to be given by Hilary Clinton but no one else showed up. Instead of speaking, Hilary and I FaceTime'd with her daughter Chelsea. HB Pyschs...what does this mean?

    Don't forget that they also upgraded the image sensor for the camera. MPs are only half of it. For instance, I have recently purchased a mirrorless DSLR that didn't have the highest MPs becasue the sensor in the option I chose was top of the line. Now....I have no idea if the Apple sensor/MP combo will be great...so take it for what it's worth. In regards to the Apple Watch (which I don't plan to purchase at this point), I would lean to buying it over the Motorola 360 mainly because of the user interface and software. Apple always does a great a great from a software standpoint and that is really where the benefit to the user comes in.

    Certainly hasn't been a positive on defense so far. I think it's more of being out of position than a speed thing. Or at least a combo of both.

    Overall, pretty impressed with the announcement today. I'm run sales for a enterprise app developer that work with large retailers. The payments stuff, which we've seen coming for months now, is a great step forward and I am very happy to finally see. The performance, camera upgrades and size options are all big steps in the right direction for Apple. I'm not overly excited about the Apple Watch but I do see their software approach as a reason it may win over Samsung, etc. They can only be so different in hardware, Apple always stand head and shoulders above on UX and software.
