  1. Jack stays in remission. Defense keeps improving Offense stays healthy and takes care of ball We finish recruiting class with gates, ballage, gerhart, brown, and 1 hidden gem Win the west. No more fire bo threads.
  2. Lot of predictions rolling in for south Florida. Would suck to lose him to a mid major.
  3. Wow his senior highlight tape is pretty impressive. Very underrated. It looks like he has a turbo button. He will just stride along, but when he sticks that foot in the ground he can flat move. Will be interesting to see how beck uses him. He needs to be returning kicks next year.
  4. He has the skill. The light needs to come on for him. He is a lot like Charles Jackson. We ask our dbs to do a lot and if u can't be counted on they will take the next guy who is more dependable.
  5. The move to the big ten wasn't a decision made to immediately be a great move. We moved for the future. Let's grade the move in 15 to 20 years when the landscape of college sports is still shuffling around. Heck. We don't even know if the realignment is done. It's so unusual for Espn to rag on the big ten.
  6. And who set the tone for that position group. Ol' Rex Burkhead. I remember the young trio of abdullah, newby, and heard talking bout how they admired his work ethic. It trickles down to the young pups. Team leadership is priceless.
  7. I know it sounds like a broken record, but I Hope this kid makes it to campus. He is our best recruit in this years class. With his athleticism he would get drafted to the NFL as a WR. No doubt about it. The MLB draft you never know how a kid will develop his skill and can wash out. Look at Bubba. He is still a young baseball player, but he is struggling with the skills of being a big leaguer right now. It will be hard to turn down the money upfront for baseball. If Monte makes it to campus he has the physical tools to play on Sundays. I havent seen someone make it look that easy since we played against DGB. Makes amazingly difficult catches look so routine.
  8. Don't forget Bronson. He will be coming at the end of January. Great looking pass rusher. Oh yeah. Forgot about him. It will be interesting how the rest of this class shakes out.
  9. After getting slade I don't think wren was much of a priority. Would still take Harris if he wants in, just bc we lost both our d end recruits last year.
  10. Man among boys. Don't Care what level u play at you that is pure domination. His tape reminds me a lot of crick. Big body guy with a high motor that can track down plays. Will be a very good d tackle once he learns to use leverage and his hands better.
  11. It sounded like some other teams were on the verge of offering before he committed. He said tcu was getting ready to offer and some other big 12 schools. So if you don't like his offer list it is bc our staff got on him faster than other BCS schools.
  12. Are we still having the heard got the shaft conversation. Abdullah is an all American. Heard prob won't start at Kentucky. He didn't get.the shaft. He got beat.
  13. Suh is by far his best recruit. Suh was thinking of transferring and bo convinced him to stay and learn how to be a football player.
  14. i think he's gonna be a good one. The problem with being 3rd string and being on a team that's behind in a lot of games or in tight games, you get pushed aside for experience. I was a little disappointed in the fact that I thought he would contribute big things on special teams. By no means do I think he was a disappointment. Probably just not as ready as we had all hoped! Big things ahead though and a very nice compliment to Adam going forward. He had a solid frosh year. It isnt too much different than abdullah's freshmen year. Carries tapered off as conference season began but he showed some very nice potential early in the year. He showed some speed mixed with great balance and power. I think he will develop into a very good back the next couple years for us. I dont think we should judge him to harshly his freshmen year. He has potential to be a very good one.
  15. There are 3 crystal ball predictions calling for the ol' switcharoo. Hope it comes true. He could get in Ballage, Brown, and Lauderdale's ear and we could pull a clean sweep on ASU.
  16. Any specific players u think have not developed or just a general statement that our staff doesn't develop players well. I think we will see the ability to develop talent get better bc the talent coming in isgetting better.
  17. I thought Keys was in Lincoln this weekend, must have missed something I guess. Kwieshi Brown? the other juco is in town. Keys visited a while ago. His decision is today.
  18. I disagree. He's just a very happy go lucky guy who is friends with everyone. He reminds me of my BIL who's from there. And when confronted they snap back a little but aren't mad about it. Its more a of a need to find out whats they guys problem is or why he things that way. Once they find out they move on. so instead of just ignoring he lets it get to him. got it. Oh by the way when he is in the NFL and he gets a tweet saying "Go kill yourself". what's he going to think then? If you think it's bad now in college it's worse in the NFL when it becomes a full time job. He needs to not let it affect him and ignore it. Your comment saying once they find out they move on won't work. He's pretty damn lucky he's at a program where fans are a hell of a lot more nice and can hold back their tongue more. If anything has taught you about some fans is that they are ready to ruin their life for it, ala alabama vs lsu post game championship. He better hope he doesn't get drafted by philly. This is silly. It is embarrassing that some of.our fans are compared to Philly fans and some want to.say Kenny Is soft instead of putting the blame on the 1% of fans who are idiots. Fans attacking kids on the internet are an insult to mankind and if a kid takes a swipe back he is soft and needs to ignore it? Thats ridiculous. I remember Niles Paul caught a lot of flack after a couple games where fans threatened him and it really got to him and he talked about how merciless fans can be. Niles plays in the NFL and seems to handle criticism and big boy fans just fine.
  19. Brendan Douglas? Was he the recruit that dropped the championship ball trophy and broke it.
  20. I still think he can't/won't play his best ball at the end of the year due to his size. He started to fade down the stretch last year as well which looks more like a trend. I would agree if his slowing down at the end of.the season was bumps and bruises. He pulled his groin. That has nothing to do with size. Last season we had 3 wr and no depth, he did wear down. I think he is capable of handling the rigors of a season,it is just unfortunate him and Jamal had muscle pulls that hurt their season. I hope they prove some people wrong next year. It's a shame we didn't get to see this group tear up the B1G this year.
  21. Kenny was slowed up at the end of.the year significantly. Watch him at the beginning of the year against UCLA and he left dudes grabbing air a couple times and was explosive. At the end he was just healthy enough to be on the field. Not near 100%. What type of offense are u referring to for Jamal Turner. I think our offense will fit him perfectly when he is healthy. I like westy but he lacks the pop of an elite wr. He will be solid for us next year though.
  22. No prob bud. Thats what we here for. People helping people.
  23. This is hilarious. They're worried about fakes but anyone watching this can see that any one of those 6 guys who didn't line up as an OL could have turned around and become a wide open receiver. - 3 personal protector so we send 4 guys to account for the 4 gaps. - No one is an open wide receiver. All those guys on psu are ineligble besides the end two on the line of scrimmage. Those 2 are being covered. - Dont understand why our DL cant at least hold up the T, G, Snapper, G, T. - Our punt return team a lot of work in the off season. We are definitely defending the fake. Our special teams are coached very conservatively. That is not surprising given that we have a defensive head coach. Defensive head coaches tend to play to get off the field and play it safe. Offensive head coaches are worried about creating good field positions for themselves and trying to create a scoring opportunity. I have coached under offensive and defensive minded head coaches and they have all leaned that way in terms of philosophy.
  24. I think Leroy could be a good person to look at moving to nickel. Singleton could get a shot a safety. Leroy covers well and he likes to come downhill and hit. The nickel position has me the most worried about next year. Everywhere else we should be solid, but this is a very important position on the defense. Brown and Keys could immediately compete for starting spots at CB or at the least provide solid depth. That would give us 6 CB's in the rotation: CJ, Davie, Rose, Joseph, and 2 JUCO's.
