I've been a cord cutter since May and have used DirecTV Now until this past week when I switched to the Hulu Live TV, they have all the channels I want (all of the ESPN's, BTN, FS Midwest, CSN Chicago) for $10 less than DirecTV Now. What channels I don't have like MLB Network or NFL Network, i'll use my sister's DirecTV user name and password to watch on their respective apps. Sling TV was a no go for me as they don't have BTN or Fox News (ducking on the Fox News, LOL)

Can't believe the season is here, were the heck did summer go? School begins this week in the DSM metro area and the opening week of the HS football season is this Friday.

I'll be working tomorrow, could care less about the stupid thing.

Myself, I don't know about expectations, but i'm just busier in my life than I was during the national championship years. As a life long Royals fan, I was wrapped up with the World Series in 2014 & 15 that other than gameday, football took a back seat for me. I'm not even a message board junkie anymore either. I don't know who's who on the team either, sure I know about Tanner Lee is or a Keyshawn Johnson Jr or Les Miles kid, but I haven't taken the time to study the roster, that comes from not caring about recruiting either.

A few weeks ago, I cut the cord from Dish Network and went with DirecTV's streaming DirecTV Now and I couldn't be happier. I went with the $50 a month option and get all of the ESPN's (including SEC Network), BTN, MLB Network and Fox Sports Midwest/KC/North (available on the DirecTV Now or Fox Sports Go App) along with CSN Chicago. I also get all of the Turner networks, perfect for March Madness. Throw in my $9 a month NetFlix and i'm saving $80 a month. All in HD quality video and don't have to worry about stupid data caps through CenturyLink DSL. With prepaying one month and I got a free Amazon FireStick.

Purdue is as historically bad as Kansas football. I do see Pelini getting back into the FBS, but not at a program like Purdue.
