Just curious as to who is proactive and who is reactive about security. Sometimes the simplest of questions produces the most realistic answers.

When I lived in Nebraska I wouldn't lock anything, and would often leave my car on the street with the windows down and the keys in the ignition.

I still don't lock my door in Chicago, but I lock my car.

As far as turning it into an analogy about refugee vetting, well, you're all doing a terrible job.

Teach, I get the point you are trying to make. But why? I haven't seen anywhere, anyone say we should "not lock the door" or "let anyone in". What I have seen is people argue "locking the door has shown to work well, Why the need to install boobie traps and hire an armed guard".
