    No...Stoops has started the "retire young" trend I think is going to catch on. Had he taken those other gigs he would have retired sooner. I think you will see a lot of "new" coaches taking that first contract, the first big one they get, putting in their 5-10 years and retiring. I don't think you will see a lot of 60 year olds coaching. Stoops didn't chase...but I bet he wished he would have and could have left the game 5 years sooner.

    This might just be me but I think a lot of the younger coaches are looking more at the contract than the school. Bob Stoops, I think, will start a trend. Make your cash and retire. The coaches are signing a lotto ticket, they know it. You get a HC coaching gig at 40 and you are pretty much set for life.

      More than likely, NIU will score early and often, like many of us did when we were co-eds back at DoNU.

      I didn't score at all at DoNU, but I was 30 when I started and I'm into 60 year-olds and Elaida.

      I didn't say you were upset. I was only telling you what happened and what will happen in the future. I am not upset by what he did nor do I think he should apologize for it. I guess I am not one of "those OSU" fans. 

       

      To sum everything up, we both are not upset. Ohio State sang their Alma mater after the game last year and that made Mayfield upset. Mayfield tried to plant a flag in the middle of Ohio stadium this year which made Ohio State upset.

      Jaws, ya, I don't believe I said you were upset.  I said "some of these OSU fans".  We are all good bro.  I enjoy you very much on our board and I don't have any problems with you, OSU fans or your favorite team.

      My buddy was in the Navy and said Aloha stadium is totally laid back and fun.

      @teachercd, hey Aloha stadium was fun. Lots of drinking and bbq, hardly anybody goes to the games, so the parking lot is mostly empty, so lots of room to setup. And the parking lot is used for swap meets on the weekends the rest of the year. So if you're every on Oahu, get your ridiculously cheap Hawaiian shirts at the swap meet at Aloha stadium.

    I am trying to narrow it down, I think I have two that are tied right now. But I think I will go with this... So, long story short a principal I "know" is leaving and I shoot out an email with a congrats to him on his new job and I ask if he might know me and that I would love an interview. So he sets up an interview with the new principal. Fast forward...Interview for an Asst. Principal job. The principal only had one copy of the questions he wanted ask me (they were like "What would you do if...) and so he said sorry, he would read them to me, then pass it to me and let me read them and "take my time"...then...on the second question (out of 4) he dozed off.

    Tim Curry is OUTSTANDING in every role...He had a great line something like "I am not a leading man, my face is not a leading mans face...so I get other roles" and he does or did, I think he is retired from acting and just does voice stuff. Tim did make the clown creepy...he was able to animate his face still. Wonderful job. I can't wait to see It.

    Can't wait for online voting and I can't wait for "voting" to become a High School class for students that are going to be 18 during the school year of an election(s) get to take a class with a focus on the people running and then they vote at school.

    Sorry...I was reading a Kill article...I meant Fleck will KILL it at Minny and look at those 4 other jobs. Mizzo as well, maybe. But he is not leaving "area"

    I expected Riley to not be the worst coach in the Big Ten West... I have a feeling that Brohm is a killer...He might end up being Joe Tiller Part II but better. Kill is going to win at Minny, period. Lovie is trending up but I do think he is gone after this year. I think he hates college. I do think that Kill has his eye on 4 jobs...MSU...ND...OSU (Meyer won't stay long and I don't blame him, why bother?) and Nebraska. Nebraska is the only show in town and I think he would LOVE that.

    I wish they could just hire a Coach-Bot...with a bunch of canned responses to questions but a sweet computer brain that could figure out which play was the best to run in each situation.
