  1. I guess he didn't smoke enough of it to get it under 21 grams.
  2. There was a girl in there too! Split that 3 ways! They all walk!
  3. Wow. Sitting right there on the console. He's stupid for being so careless about it. And doubly stupid for admitting it. He should have said it was JP Morgan's bag Or else: Wait, wut? Didn't you see Randy Gregory take off running when we stopped the car?? He went thataway! Ha...nice!!
  4. All I can say is wow...very interesting! No joke, I am blown away. You actually sound just like me in your post. So, congrats to you!

  6. Erstadt comes off as a dork after they lose...he is soooo intense that he can't say "good game" while he shakes hands. So lame.

      Weird that this triggers you.

No kidding. Who wants sportsmanship in college athletics? Telling someone they played well, yuck.

Hahaha! Knapp, I am more and more like you every single day...judging the heck out of DE and being totally offended because he can't stop being so "intense"...

  7. Wow...is this a serious post? I am sort of shocked at this sentiment coming from you and I really don't know if you are kidding or not. I don't care if they smoke pot and I don't care if he doesn't get suspended. I am guessing you are kidding though? I think under 20 is better than over 20 in Florida. I think they are pretty lax on their pot laws. On the special treatment part for players...I could not care less if they get special treatment.
  8. This is on Bo, right? On a side note...for all the fans that have a hard time believing this...you probably need to stop having a hard time believing it. For most of these guys, just like for most of us when we were in college the fun and partying (not always drugs and drinking) take first place.
  9. I build a 17' x 17' deck several years ago out of cedar with composite planks (Trex). Not difficult at all. Hardest part was the stairway. It's only three steps, but I made it so it fans out in three directions--each step layer is larger than the one above it. I think I concreted in at least ten posts in that little stairway. Wanted to make sure it was rock solid. : Ha...That is awesome. I might try it...I try to do one "project" each summer. Last summer I pretty much skipped on that and just was a lazy pile.
  10. Mods, if you are looking for another mod, let me know...I have time over the summer to help out! :)

What makes you think you'll still be a member by the end of the summer?

Ha! 1. I think I can mod and chew gum at the same time.

      2. I am out of my cell!

      3. NU...stop it! I am soooooo sensitive about stuff!

  11. you can do that....but check the joist, headers, and support posts to make sure there are no soft spots in them. putting the new deck over the old support system can be costly if 5 years down the road your support boards have rotted away. Thanks! ED thanks for your post too. I think I can save a ton if I just by the composite boards myself and put them on.
  12. Hey Erstadt...thanks for costing me cash today

Maybe if you had bet on Erstad, you would have made money.

  13. Anyone do their own composite deck? Here me out...I was thinking of just taking up the 16 deck boards that I currently have...then just replacing them with the composite boards...Do you know what I mean?
  14. I did my own floors and you can tell in some spots...painting I do but I get bored with it. I did my own baseboards and you can tell in some spots with that too. I did a paver-stone patio with wood fire pit...Good lord...it might be the worst thing ever.
  15. I want to tile around my fireplace and I totally feel like I could do it and make it look nice but at the same time I know I suck with being a "handy man"... I would like to rip out my deck boards and lay down composite boards but again...I feel like I would somehow burn down my house. What kinds of projects do you all feel comfortable with doing and where did you learn it from?
  16. Yeah, my local guys have not even put it up yet...Over 6 was a gimmie...even Riley can do that.
  17. Most schools will get out in front of this. I have done this 3 times (I think, maybe more) where we have made sure a person that has been through hell and back...or is going through hell and back...graduates with their class. It is no sacrifice on my end to offer a hand of help for someone that has had major problems.
  18. Summer break...so bored!

When was your last day? Mine was yesterday and I have about 6 weeks of house and yard work to catch up on since the end of the school year is so busy

Last Thursday. I have some house work that I can do but not much, plus, I am not really handy so doing certain things around my house I can't really do own my own...because I will pretty much destroy everything.

  19. If I was a reporter...I would probably invest in a gym membership and start working out and have 911 on speed dial.
  20. Any of you teachers do any work over the summer? I teach summer school for a month.

Paid work - no. Home improvements, doing some school planning now instead of during school when I don't have time - yes

Summer School, extended school year, way too many professional developments. Trip or two mixed in.

Actually there are quite few teachers around here who paint houses for a summer job. One of them went year round with it quite a few years ago. He painted our house.
