He was too good, but probably and most importantly, he was too smart and could see through Bo's BS.

And Stanford is a pretty good school. But ya, i get ya, Bo didnt even really recruit him. He still may have chosen Stanford, but we should have been all over him. But, in hindsight, I bet hes pretty happy he missed the circus thats been going on around here.

I was reading through his recruiting profile.  Looks like UCLA and Stanford offered him summer before senior season and then we offered.  Doesn't sound like we put a lot of effort into recruiting him though.  Obviously has a good work ethic to develop into the player he has become.  Dominant wrestler.  Seems like the signs were there. Nobody on Bo's staff read them.
