Gonna get 4 different estimates from this guy.  10 Gs was just the (probably high end) rough estimate.

Composite with tiered stairs will be the most expensive.  Wood without tiered stairs will obviously be the cheapest.

@funhusker 12x16 I think will be the new one.  The old one is smaller so it'll need new posts.

@teachercd already got a "deck".  Just need stairs that are up to code, mine our currently "up to code".

I built my 17' x 15' deck myself for around $2,000.  It's cedar timbers with Trex planks.  I got a pretty good deal on materials though.  And it's only 3' off the ground.  One of my best projects ever!

My best project ever was a sugar cube egyptian pyramid in the 5th grade.
