Really? Leaving Burkhead in when he was already banged up was a MUCH bigger head scratcher. Martinez staying in to hand the ball off is a non issue really.

Don't think the winner of tomorrow's game (us hopefully) will be playing Wisconsin in the title game...have a strong feeling it will be Penn St, and that raises another issue of if either of us would lose to them. Really? Penn State could realistically lose the final three or four games on their schedule. Their schedule is cake up until then. Aside from Bama of course, and they got manhandled by Bama.

I think Nebraska's defense could play a good game tomorrow. Cousins not being able to pick up those 3rd and longs with is legs is huge. That's one thing that's really been hurting our defense this year. I don't think our secondary is great or anything, but I think they're playing a lot better than they were around the time we went to Madison. Dennard has his legs back underneath him, and it looks like we finally have a #2 CB. Maybe it's just me, but I think Stafford has been playing a lot better too. I really don't see Michigan State's WRs being any better than Wisconsin's. What it will come down to is our offense vs their defense. If they blitz us a lot we can kill them with heavy doses of option and swing passes to Burkhead. If Beck calls a good game and we limit mistakes there's no reason at all we won't win. I hope Beck is stubborn with the running game, it will open up eventually. It has all season. Just don't try to turn Taylor Martinez into Dan Marino again.

Steinkuhler is a bust. No one expects him to play at Suh's level. But he should have made some kind of impact at this point in his career. He's been a huge disappointment.

They're black practice jerseys. They used to be handed to the defensive starters in camp. The '07 unit handed theirs back in because they felt they weren't living up to the name. And they weren't. Pelini took over the next year and didn't hand them out until the defense was playing up to snuff. He's kind of used them as motivation ever since. It's the starters, not just select players.

Last year we had Paul (when he can catch), Kinnie, McNeil, Helu, Burkhead, Enuhwa (sp?), Cooper, Burkhead, Cotton and yet Reed was utilized well and was a huge playmaker in our offense and he hasn't been utilized as he should have all year. He's been used in some games but not in all 7 games. I don't really see where you're going with this post. Paul had butterfingers and Kinnie's job has been taken by a freshman. Enunwa has improved a lot from last season and McNeil was nonexistant his final two years. We're in much better shape this season at WR.
