  1. I believe the document your thinking of exist in the form of a media guide. (These are readily available in the booth - along with Internet access)
  2. Lyle Bresmer. Bremser was good in his early days. Late in his career, if you were at the stadium listening to him on KFAB, you would wonder if he was watching the same game you were watching. He could not keep the numbers straight, did not know who was coming in the game and who was going out and would often refer to the offense as the defense, etc. Sad that it had to end that way. My favorite Bremserism was, “Man, woman and child, did that put em' in the aisles. Johnny Rogers just tore em' loose from their shoes.” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NLvv3KPNHfY I must be the only Husker fan that doesn't sit at home watching TV critiquing the announcers. Honestly, 99% of the time I really don't care who they are. I'm watching the game. However, since it is brought up so often, this comment struck me because I have always had a theory that one reason why so many people thought Lyle did a great job was because it was in an era where they couldn't watch the game and listen at the same time. I will guarantee you that he made mistakes on yardage and numbers just like every announcer does now. Put em' in the aisle and tie em' loose. 007 Is this the professionalism you are referring to? I am assuming none would classify this as ghetto.
  3. At least the let down is early this year. Since Bo has been the HC he has benifited by a soft non conferenc schedule - winning most of those games fairly easily. The bravado builds and everyone is complaining about our rank, and or our lack of media respect. Listening to most people it's on to the MNC after winning the Sunbelt title Then somewhere in Oct comes a loss and Big Red Meltdown occurs. I still am supporting this team but I face reality and have an understanding of who we really are.
  4. Color me surprised Mark May picked UCLA - Its so unlike him to pick against the Huskers.

I'm still enjoying being completely underrated and overlooked when this could turn out to be the best team Bo has fielded as HC at Nebraska.

@akita: I like your theory. lol.

  5. Congrats for the biggest whiff of the day. That's fine still my thoughts like everyone else's on the topic.
  6. Some one said get a job if you need which it is almost impossible to do. Athletes are not the only people getting full rides on campus. If I'm in band on scholarship I can perform on the weekend to make money. If I create a software program as a business major on scholarship the school does not own the rights to my program. As a biology major on Scholarship if I create a drug do I owe the school for using there facilities? No. Someone also mentioned going back to NFL players and getting money for the exposure they gained while at the school. How much money has the school made off Suh since he was on campus and since he has left. Coaches make millions, schools make millions, but when talk starts about compensation for the people doing the work - it cant happen because it's amateur athletics.
  7. Went to college with Laura from the new season of Real World - Hopefully she reps Omaha well..........LOL or not

somehow she is a facebook friend of mine...she is friends with a few of my good buddies. I must have met her...wonder what she gets into on the real world lol

  8. What people lose in the Lebron hate is that Dan Gilbert was content collecting the millions he was getting from Lebron without attempting to put the legitamite pieces around him for the team to be successful. If that would have occurred they could have been celebrating a championship in Cleveland. Why does a player have to say I want to leave for the owner ship to make strides to improve the team. Let also not forget that when a team is ready to get rid of a player they do not always call them down and give them the courtesy of a meeting. Sometimes they find they are tried from the crawler on ESPN. I like basketball, but the NBA isnt what it used to be. There is no parity now, its who can get their friends together and form the best all-star team. The draft is worthless nowadays.
  9. The Big 12 just wont die - Big 12, SEC champs to play in bowl

could very well be that. I think its very likely that the Sugar or whatever this will be will trump the rose nearly every year. It would be a shot at Delany in taking something he values too much and making it second best

      It'sNotAFakeID

So it will basically be the Rose Bowl for the Big XII and SEC

  10. I played at the Alamo dome in HS fairly oftern. It was a great venue for football but I get what your saying.
  11. Great story but I hate having cheerleader and reporters on the sideline. I cringe every time players chase balls off the court. Even more than people on the sidelines I hate the elevated courts. That is absolutely one if dumbest ideas ever.
  12. I think the intent was passes that were in the playing field. Of course the graph is exaggerated but there were a couple passes to the first down marker. I was at game with my wife and I thanked the coaching staff for that loss. If they would have run the ball straight up the middle and punted instead of throwing the ball and stopping the clock the game may have ended differently for them.
  13. Just when the NBA was in the limelight for World peace's version of the Peoples Elbow, here comes the NFL to rip the headlines. (America's Past Time)

  14. I know hissize has a lot to do with the lack of buzz, but I think it speaks volumes that he was able to master the NC State system and then shortly come in and play as well as he did in Wisconsin.
  15. Toms statement about the process and doing things right sound alot like Bo.
