Nebraska doesn't suck there just inconsistent. Just don't know what type of team is going to show up each week. AHHHH, remember when we didn't have to worry about that. GBR!!!

I don't think anyone thinks hes the next Dick Butkus. Watching him play you always know hes giving his all on each play. Sure there are better players on this team and he may not be a starter next year, but he's healthy right now and some of the others aren't. Last year we didn't have anyone really better to compare him against. There was talk at the end of last year that he may not be starting this year. All I no is that he made some big plays for us Saturday and that's what he's out there to try and do. Lucky? If you don't think luck has any thing to do some body being in the right place at the right time, you haven't closely watched some of the games the Huskers have lost, and won for that matter. He may not be a great player, I think that's a given but he and his family have given their all for the Huskers, and if there's any more Ruud's coming along, send them with the same heart the others have shown and I'm sure Husker Nation won't send them away. Congrats to Ruud GBR!!!

I had hoped he could keep it going when he took over for Dr. Tom just like all Husker fans. I hope he wins out and has great success for the rest of his career at Ohio U. Congrats to Turner Gill, just won his first game Saturday as a head coach. Those two former Huskers are my two favorite all time. Turner 1, Frank 2. They were truly Husker Red family. GBR!!!

The next game is going to be tough to win. If the defence can step up bigger than they did Saturday we should be able to win. This is the one conference game I was worried about at the beginning of the year. Good to get Mizzo behind us, now lets go get them Aggies.!!!!!! GBR!!!

Why not let him return kick offs. At least he get s a little more involved in the game and he has more speed and moves than Hardy. I thought they would do that in the beginning of the year just to see what he could do. If I was on the opposing team I sure wouldn't want to see him back there. GBR!!!

It's not anger I feel when we lose as much as it's is, that knot in the middle of my stomach thing. It just plain hurts when we lose games like last week. The Texas game was a little easier to swallow because I knew we out played them and did have the game won. Still hurt but not for as long. Watching how this team turned it up on defence against Iowa.St the next week, after the Kansas game, I think we are going to see the same thing again this week. Okla. St was not a game I thought they might over look, but I didn't see the outcome ending that way either. I thought if any thing it might be a down to the wire type finish. The only game after Texas that I thought we may lose was Texas.A.M. It's funny how things work out, USC and Texas were to be the two biggest games of the year for us and now it's turns out it will be the Mizzo game. GBR!!!

Mann sick, Octavian hurt very little "real" playing time, Potential All- America Bowman out for year, Dillard being highly counted on, out for year. GBR!!!

When Callahan shows any emotion on the side lines the media rakes him over the coals. Our fair weather fans complain that's not the Husker way. But let Charlie W. cuss and call people names and hes praised for his toughness and motivational skills. We had that type of coach in Bob. D. and we had Tom. O's way of doing it and they both work. Lets see how Callahan's works, before we all want to change what seems to be working for him so far. GBR!!!

Thenarse probably will be a better corner than Grixby and might be better now. All though I think he was brought in as a safety. He must not know the defensive schemes or he would already be in there. To throw him in there when we are still fighting to win the North would be a big mistake. What good would it do to have him get burned and maybe cost the team a game. I can't remember the player, a db that gave up that pass against Texas on a fourth down with 15 or 20 yards and all we had to do was hold there for the win. It was Ricky Williams last year at Texas. He was a good db but the next year he didn't start, coaches said he lost his confidence. Grixby is giving his all and needs a little more help from our safety's. I hope hes ready next year with Bowman, Dillard and who knows who else might step. GBR!!!

I thought our goal was to win the North this year. Thats still possible. Next year's was to win the Big 12 Championship. At least thats what I remember reading on here last year and the begining of this year. Keep the faith. GBR!!!

J. Congdon will be just fine. I was waiting for him to miss something sooner or later. He doesnt get many chances to kick any field goals. Now that those misses are out of his system he will be fine the rest of the year. Different kicking in practice than in a game. GBR!!!

Give it time. We see some improvement each week. Coz can only do so much with what hes got. He calls a blitz when they are 3rd and goal and that's worked in other games just great. They just happened to block very well on that play and we all know what happened. The first quarter was lights out for the defence. Then every thing fell apart. That last TD just before the half was the game changer. Teams know they can throw deep on us, and we can't blitz every down. There is help coming for the db's next year, and one more good recruiting year should bolster that position. I still think with 2 more recruiting classes we will see what we are all waiting for. All the pieces are not in place yet. GBR!!!

Had hoped to see what Mizzo had. Now they are probably going to have change their normal attack to a catch up attack. Hopefully we will get to see the same catch up attack against us. GBR!!!

It's still a long way off till we have to worry about bowl bids but I could see the Cotton Bowl picking Neb even if we did lose the Big 12 Cham game if we make it there. It has a lot to do with filling up the stadium and we all know how Nebraska fans travel to follow the Huskers. Shouldn't be a problem selling out that game. Lets beat OKL.ST first. GBR!!!
