Kudos to Coach Pelini and Pap for having the guts to go man-on-man on some very good WRs Michigan had. We played an 8 man box the whole game and you have to give credit to the coaches for trusting our DBs enough to do that.
The key was that Michigan's O-line was so bad, they had to max protect and ran a lot of 2 and 3 man routes with everyone else blocking. We could have an 8 man box and still not give up anything on the back end.
I think that's the first dual threat QB that we have completely shut down. We did it by hitting him every single play. It also helps when you have two DEs that are just as fast as he is.
