    Eichorst didn't lend a message of support for Bo Pelini during the season because he didn't support Bo Pelini. I don't think they got along very well...... Crazy how when you treat people with respect and courtesy, your boss is willing to break his own rules to show support of you. I guess having a bit of class can be an advantage sometimes. Whodathunkit?

      Come on True nothing. It's pretty black and white. You're more likely to defend a guy that not only did you hire, but you personally respect. I'm not saying anything outlandish here Redux. Eichirst didn't issue a statement of support for Bo because he was better off saying nothing about a guy he had no respect for. He's not the only one unwilling to defend that guys behavior.

      Yeah I'm not even talking stats though NUance. Watching the guy play this year I hate to question a guy like Gerry, a team captain and a tough looking SOB, but something's not right. He's having a rough time out there and he's making the highlight reel for all the wrong reasons. I have to think he's injured. He looks like apprehensive as hell.

    I wonder how the players feel about everything that's going on. They obviously have to be frustrated as well. I wonder if they are more in the boat of retaining Riley, or just hitting the reset button? That's what it ultimately comes down to, not what we as the fans want.

    While I understand the emotion with how the year has unfolded, a coaching change would not be wise. Give the staff some space to instill what they are trying to instill and see what next year brings.

    Just got back from CO today. Missed the game. Just heard the phrase "Purdue ran up the score on Nebraska..."

      Not ignoring it at all. Simply acknowledging incompetence all over the place I that one. Players and coaches. Purdue didn't just let us come back though. They were still playing. If they were just letting us come back, thy would have dropped that fourth quarter interception.

      No NUance. Nebraska doesn't get credit for their points. The common theme seems to be that Purdue "let" Nebraska score because they didn't know how to handle being ahead by so much points for the first time. That is truly what Mike Welch said on his radio show.

      If so, I didn't ever hear his name called for making a play. Remember when we used to have a few guys that you just constantly heard their names. Hagg, or Gomes. Lavonte David. Prince. So on and so forth. I don't hear a Blackshirt just taking over a game much anymore.
