  1. After watching and analyzing, theres no amount of clock management or decision making that woulda prevented illinois from moving down the field in the manner that they did. At the end of the day, Gerry let a man behind him in the closing seconds. They gained 50+ yards in one play.

      The end of that game could be played 100 times and while the final result would always have one team winning and the other losing, each series would be different. Timelines rarely repeat themselves with so many players involved and if we had given them less than half the time to operate, 20 secs instead of a minute and a longer field, the outcome wouldn't be a guarantee but should have been in our favor.

      Oh we agree. Can't sugarcoat that sh#t and I'm not gonna try. That was below amateur level stuff. Pathetic really. Langsdorf should be smacked upside the head by somebody today. And listen to this folks, nobody is gonna blame the defense for this one and not sound stupid. They held them to 6 points all game long. This was clearly one of those games where we needed to eat up Time Of Possession and escape. The offense was a f'ing joke.
