"Should win" shouldn't be in Nebraska fan's vocabulary this year.

Good post. Procedure penalties are (to me, anyways), more unforgivable than "effort" penalties. EDIT: reading is hard, mmkay. I get what you are saying, but Nebraska is a big ball of Suck right now, and if you cross out maybe 3 of the penalties that Fake ID posted, Nebraska is in a position to win yesterday, even with all the poor execution. It's all worrisome, but the penalties are more easily corrected.

I mean, there's one way to find that out. Iowa or Colorado?

No one is getting fired anytime soon. Yes, some of Chin's tendencies are alarming, but some of these kids are on their 3rd D-coordinator, or 5th position coach in the last 4 years. Continuity can go a long ways to not only building trust, but improving scheme and playcalling.

I rolled my eyes a bit last night hearing Frost talk about the lack of discipline at his press conference, because (and it's one of the only issues I had with Frost's hiring, but) UCF was one of the most penalized teams in the country the last two years. In 2016, they were 105th with 7.2 penalties per game, and in 2017, they were 127th with 8.4 penalties per game. I don't know if Frost and staff don't emphasize it, or don't know how to emphasize it in the proper ways, but with Nebraska at 129th in the country (out of 130 teams) at 10.5 per game, it's an alarming issue that probably isn't going away anytime soon.

I'm in the camp that believes he's out of position (WR), but his poor effort, lack of awareness, and apparent lack of want-to are lightning rods for criticism. He didn't play the entirety of the second half yesterday, and his reaction to being benched really makes me wonder if he's going to be here past Monday this week.

I would not be surprised if Young and Jackson, barring injury, do not see the field much more going forward.

The Seahawks were very successful until they had to start paying Wilson; this diverted money away from the strength of that team, which was the defense. This is partially why I want KC to win as much as possible, because in a few years, they're going to have to pay Mahomes, Hunt AND Hill.

He's a project, and he'll redshirt next year, barring the necessity of him starting. So, at minimum, there will be 2 years between him and Martinez. If he does stick at QB and stays ahead of Smothers (and any other QBs brought in), he'll have 2 years to start.

While I agree with you, I don't necessarily think this is on Conrad. Bunch (if he has the freedom), needs to recognize that we're outmanned playside and audible into something else.

Another week, another way I don't understand why they are blocking they way they are. Allen should block Bush, Jaimes should reach his DE, Foster should handle his DT and Conrad should reach the OLB in front of him. Instead, Jaimes tries to get the boundary OLB, as does Conrad, leaving Bush unblocked to make the tackle. EDIT: All 22 look: this probably should have been audibled out of. That's a hard block for Jaimes and Allen to fold/combo, as Michigan has a 4 on 3 advantage playside that the Option doesn't account for.

Give it a year; Vedral will be eligible and McCaffery will be here next year. That's 3 scholarship QBs, plus at least 1 WO with starting experience. I still think they should get at least one more QB in this year's class, but depth will be much better next year.

Agree with this. Maybe against CU or Troy, Ziggy gets a nice gain. But Bush is a 1st rounder for a reason.
