  1. Volleyball State. Also, suck it, Creighton.

We're still the big dogs in this state, but Creighton just keeps getting better and better.  They're going to be trouble for the foreseeable future.

I'm going to try to go to my first Creighton match this year. Should be fun.

This was the perfect year for them to beat us, but we still have Foecke, and they don't.

  2. I've been on the "He Should Be A Linebacker" bus for the entire time. Sandoz is co-ed now, I believe.
  3. T-Mart might be a bit goofy, but he's nowhere near the same astral plane as Harrison Beck.
  4. I'd stay as far away from Liberty as possible, for reasons that belong in the 'Shed.
  5. I have a roster for this season in my EA Locker: CDS923. The rosters are about 75% complete (the site I get them from is still working on them; most of the P5 teams are done), but I've updated Nebraska to be complete.
  6. This game got a lot harder when Akron took their money and ran home.
  7. You might be right; I found a couple articles citing costs of retractable roofs for both New Yankee Stadium and Met Life in New York, and those were the estimates provided.
  8. You got $100 to $150 million? That's what it will roughly cost. It's a silly idea, brought on by the frustration of a once-in-a-lifetime event that squashed what was supposed to be an epic night in the history of Husker football. Let's not completely lose our sense of sanity over it.
  9. I would prefer they don't schedule anything for the bye; that week is much more valuable for rest. If anything, schedule Akron for Dec. 1st.
  10. The biggest will be if Nebraska is sitting at 5 wins at the end of the year and can't make a bowl because of it.
  11. Neutral site games are lame.

And that applies to the playoff games as well. Expand that sucker to 8 teams and give home field advantage to the higher seed.

  12. I don't think you're going to have to worry much about running it on 3rd and 2.
  13. McCaffery is for sure visiting that game; it'll be nice having the QB in the class along with a teammate in his ear for the weekend.
  14. HOLY **** IT'S FINALLY GAME DAY AND I FORGOT CAPS LOCK FRIDAY YESTERDAY! I AM SORRY, @GSG!

  15. I was talking about now; between 2016 and 2019, we play OSU 4 times and Michigan once.
  16. There's an easy fix to this: keep one protected rival and rotate between the other two teams every two years. Then, after a 3 year rotation, switch the PR. For example: - 2027/2028: OSU, Rutgers, Michigan (PR) - 2029/2030: MSU, Indiana, Michigan (PR) - 2031/2032: PSU, Maryland, Michigan (PR) - 2032/2033: OSU, Rutgers, PSU (PR) - 2034/2035: MSU, Indiana, PSU (PR) - 2036/2037: Michigan, Maryland, PSU (PR) And so on, and so forth. This gives you at least one marquee game, one "cupcake" game, and the constant rival for three years.
  17. I agree with that; there's absolutely no reason why we should play Ohio State 4 years in a row and Michigan only once. Dumb, dumb decision making processes going on. That said, it's too far away for me to get worked up about. Hell, Frost might not even be here at that time.
  18. I mean, that's 4 years away. No one knows what the landscape of the Big Ten will look like by then. Meyer might not be at OSU, Harbaugh might go crazy and who knows what condition Penn State or Michigan State will look like.
  19. Hope not. One less headache to deal with in the stadium.
  20. "Starting Friday, Riley will stand near OSU's practice field every day during preseason camp. He'll serve the Beavers' program as a consultant, with a job description as long as a commercial lease. What Riley cannot do is coach, however. He'll be at practice to observe, while offering thoughts to coach Jonathan Smith and his staff." "Riley says he will be with the Beavers through the end of the season, then head to San Antonio to coach its AAF team." - https://www.oregonlive.com/beavers/index.ssf/2018/08/mike_riley_at_peace_with_decis.html
  21. He's still there until whatever league that San Antonio team is in plays; I believe it's the spring.
