  1. So, are Jayskers gonna put their Blue sweater vests away for Green and Highlighter Yellow ones in September?

Would that be North Dakota State?

  2. I disagree greatly with that mentality. I don't think we should settle just because we have Gebbia/O'Brien on campus. Every year we should recruit guys that we believe are/have potential to be better than what we have. Iron sharpens iron. Now on that note I don't think Shough is settling. He is rated higher/similar to Gebbia and slighty behind O'Brien. I don't normally either, but Nebraska is behind in terms of QB recruiting this cycle. Lock Shough up and focus on getting a top guy for 2019. And while I like Shough, Gebbia was a much higher rated recruit.
  3. I wouldn't be all that disappointed if we don't get a higher rated QB in this class; we'll have 2 out of POB/Lee/Gebbia next year, with Bunch adding depth as he comes along. Lock the Shough kid up and let's go.
  4. You can't drink sand. Someone doesn't understand the concept of teams playing against relative competition. 2002 Nebraska never played 1994 Nebraska, just a heads up. '94 Nebraska by 21.
  5. Well, that's because you routinely have your head up your rectum, Mr. Clouse.
  6. Craig Smith to Drake?

  8. Who didn't run all over that defense during that week? I'm pretty sure we could've wheeled Michael Wilbon out there and he'd have gone for 2 bills.
  9. Coke on campus!? Now I know you're joking. Pepsi didn't take over as the sole soda distributor until 1997, so Coke would have been on campus at the beginning of the 90s run. Coke on campus!? Now I know you're joking. I'm sure there was coke on campus but I doubt it cost 50 cents A bit of sarcasm on my part. There was still one Coke machine on campus when I went there (mid-2000s); outside the Lutheran Center on 16th Street.
  10. Coke on campus!? Now I know you're joking. To hear the stories surrounding Sam Kellar, Corey McKeon, and some other players from the Callahan era... #Rumors
  11. we just did Do we have 8 former coaches in the athletic department working as analysts? (I am not sure actually how many the Tide have) 1 < 8. Stay tuned for more riveting facts.... Gotta start somewhere.
  12. Its not that outlandish of a statement. He's rated as the higher prospect Yankoff: .9317, #6 Dual, #155 overall Gebbia: .9184, #9 Pro, #202 overall POB: .9189, #11 Pro, #205 overall Based on his film, he doesn't have nearly the arm that Gebbia or POB have.
  13. "Nebraska has always had some of the best blocking WRs in the country. Jon Vedral, Wilson Thomas, Ross Pilkington; Tanner moving out there just continues that rich tradition" - Mike Riley after practice yesterday.
  14. And here I thought I was the only one drinking this early on a Monday morning.
  15. Well, at least Creighton lost.

  17. Honestly, the SEC is a much easier conference than the Big Ten. Plus, there's less direct competition for the talent in Missouri than there is in Chicago.
  18. So, whose job is it to motivate the kid to practice harder? Quite honestly.....once you are on a Div 1 basketball roster, if you don't have the motivation to work your holy ass off then that falls back on you. Even though the end results are not what anyone expected, there were kids busting their butts on the court to get results. Horne was man enough to admit he wasn't one of them. Again...nothing alarming here. Believe it or not, Tom Osborne even had players who didn't decide to bust their asses in practice and they didn't have success on the field. I don't disagree; if you don't have that work ethic at this level, you aren't going to be successful. What I wonder about is how effective of a motivator Miles really is. Even though it's almost the status quo nowadays, there has been more than enough attrition from both the roster and staff to warrant that. Would you think he might've motivated Tai Webster to go from a joke to a B1G 2nd Teamer? He probably had some impact but I would venture to say it was more from Webster playing international summer ball. Aside from Tshimanga, who really had nowhere to go but up, would you say anyone else on the team was better by the end of the season? LOL WOW. Talk about completely unwilling to give Miles any credit. So he gets minimal credit, but summer ball gets the majority of it? You gotta be kidding right? Others this year? Hell, Roby was on the up and up until he hurt his ankle. Morrow started off pretty strong until got injured. Watson started off at a SUPERSTAR level and slowed after his injury as well and couldn't get kick started after he was healthy. Jacobson? Major improvements offensively and on the boards. His mid-range game picked up quite a bit actually. McVeigh actually became a sniper from downtown, whereas he was not the year before. (perception wise at least) Evan Taylor, a guy who has barely been here, even improved a ton. First game of the year, I didn't even trust him on the court. He missed major free-throws frequently. Towards the end of the year, he was as consistent of a player as we ha on the team. You're overvaluing some of the talent on this team; if everything you said was true, Nebraska wouldn't have gone 12-19. Watson I'll give you, even if he is a walking heat-check, but Jack McVeigh a sniper? Roby on the "up and up"? Jacobson scoring marginally went up, and he became a better rebounder, but his turnovers went up, shooting % went down, and he shoots under 40% as a 4/5 (not to mention he has no post game to speak of).

It's not inconceivable to think he maybe got better due to his own devices, is it?
