I think 4 is absolutely fine. It keeps the product itself from getting watered down, and the regular season still has meaning.

Was at the game, 50 yard line on the home sideline (best tickets I've ever had for a game). The idiots behind us that arm-chair coached the entire game left with about a minute left....enough time for them to be outside the stadium when the crowd went nuts.

If we have a home game on a Friday night, it'll effectively wipe out a weekend for recruiting. It's a terrible idea, and the schools with pull in the conference should do everything they can to squash it.

I've never gotten the lovefest for Herbstreit. He's decent at his job, but he's not great; not nearly the best out there.

As the night went on on Saturday, I found out I was more pissed at the lack of a DPI call than the fact that we lost. The offense played far better than I thought they would, and the defense proved that they belong on the same field as Wisconsin's stout D. That being said, I don't have a lot of confidence for OSU.

We don't make TWOS, so I'm not sure how we'd know in advance on weeks that the guy is or isn't doing it. The problem with your thinking is that you are already writing OSU off as a loss. If NU wins on Saturday, which I think is a decent chance, they could still go 12-0. Not OSU for sure...just a loss...It is so difficult to go 12-0. OK, listening to Sharp and Benning this morning they had Jay Foreman on for his weekly segment. I feel better about the game after listening to him. He said they are good, but everyone is making them out to be really great. Come in play your game and play limit mistakes and NU should win the game. On a side note was watching BTN Live this morning. It was last night's episode with DiNardo on it. For weeks now they have been saying that NU's win over Oregon doesn't look all that good, which is understandable. Except they brought up Wisconsin beating MSU and how that loss by MSU was the start of their downfall. I found that to be a little hypocritical. I'm waiting for the Husker Chalk Talk breakdown before formulating a solid opinion.

A win goes a long way to legitimizing this season, especially to the Boleivers and the national media. What it doesn't do is hand us the West Title: with the multitude of injuries piling up, nothing is a given.
