Pay the man. He has shown that he can coach. If a rival company offered you more money wouldn't you use that offer to try and get a pay raise? Pay him and move on.

I think Art Briles is worth taking a look at.

It's not the loss, It's the way they lost. It's not just one big game, it's every big game. His recruiting isn't where it should be. His best teams were left over players. I used to be on his side but I am just tired of being disappointed. I wouldn't call for another man's job that is for people who are smarter than me.

We currently have a good group of players and having the former Oregon OC as a new head coach would probably help us get some recruits. But if he couldn't get the right DC then we would be in the same situation. Bo's scheme has been figured out and its time for him to really adapt or move on.

I would say Drake, as long as they find a spot for him and keep him there. I don't like this play safety oh wait how about rb or would you like to try being a receiver?

I like Beck, I would be sad to see him go. It isn't good to have you offense changing every 2 years or every year.

I am excited because I wasn't sure we would win this game, I thought it was a trap game. I am also excited because during the 2nd half the defense looked great and they were playing a Big 10 team.

He has played well. Its not like we can't recruit another running back in the next 3 years. I think he should play more at the beginning of games, beat up some of those DL and then let the rest of the 4 headed monster run past them.

I liked his speed, as long as there is enough time for someone to tell him where to line up that isn't an issue for me. I don't know how much more simpler the defense was this week but I don't see it as a good thing that it takes the new guys so long to learn. It doesn't matter if you know what's going on or not if you can't tackle or catch the players your chasing.

I think Bo's seat need's to start warming up. When Taylor leave's if things aren't better he needs to go. TO hired him because Nebraska needed to improve on defense, Nebraska did and because of poor recruiting and coaching Nebraska is now to slow and misses to many tackles defense. Nebraska's offensive line gets pushed around and Nebraska has trouble defending mobile QB'S. I think he hurt himself by keeping SW when he was hired and despite O-line problems every year he keeps Cotton around. I think he fixed the recruiting this year and is doing a better job with that but if Bo does leave, Nebraska need's to reach deep into those pockets and get a top coach that top recruit's want to play for.

I was in Dallas for the Big 12 Championship. I clapped for Oklahoma after we lost and so did a few in my section. Most Nebraska fans were mad at Nebraska, Martinez and Watson. The next day I was at a mall with my Husker gear on and I ended up talking to a gentleman from Texas. He said he was sorry to see us leave the Big 12 and said he would miss having our fans in the area. He said all the Nebraska fans were friendly and very well behaved. He would not say as much for the Oklahoma fans.

That's why he works for a TV channel and not an NFL team. There is to much upside to Suh to pass and take what fits your defense.

Even though this is a new staff due to our history I don't expect we will get any of the 3. Owa I think will go to Oregon State, Cooper will go to ND. I just hope that everybody else that is a verbal will stay and we won't have any defectors but it sounds like we will probably end up with at least one.

I say Texas wins if Colt plays the whole game. Game was a lot closer than the final score. This give us more respect!!! Texas scores 21 on the best defense in the nation with a true freshman on a very very big stage. What does Colt do against that defense without making the errors this kid made. Texas scores 10 on us, oh wait, 10 in regulation and then when you get to add a second then it is 13. Colt drops 35 to 42 and Bama doesn't score 35 if Colt is running that offense. I think you mean 2nd best defense in the nation.

I think Bo could coach in the NFL, Rex Ryan is pretty animated. Plus I don't think the money argument is valid. Say your at your job and happy making 1 million a year but someone comes in to offer you 4 million you may not take it but you will probably interview and talk about doing it. Plus its not like if it doesn't work out he can't come back to college.

I believe he would go in the 4th round to St. Louis. They would move Carriker back to end and get Potter from the Jaguars. So their lineup would be Carriker, Suh, Crick and Potter. Ok maybe not but that would be sweet.

Look at how many points some people were saying Texas was going to score and now some people are guessing Alabama could put 20 plus points on us? Does anyone not want to give our defense any credit? If we played well defensively Alabama does not score 21, 25, 28 or whatever points on our defense. Crazy talk. Alabama doesn't run the spread, they run the football and you need linebackers to stop the run. Phillip Dillard is great but, our other linebackers don't have the experience. We didn't play any team all year who can run the football like Alabama. I don't think its so much about our defense but about our offense not being able to sustain drives and get the defense the rest they would need. Texas had the number one rushing defense and they had 205 yards put on them.

I would say the would put up 28. I don't think we have the linebackers to stop the Alabama run game. We wouldn't have a problem early but the defense wouldn't get enough rest and they would pull away in the 4th. If our offense could move the ball and control the clock I say they put up 14. Holding anyone to under 10 points is very very hard.

I am going to take a wild guess and say that they are still there because they play Oregon, Oregon State, Washington, Washington State, Stanford and Cal every year and those are much closer to home then Nebraska. I hope he comes but he has a single mother and is the oldest of 4 so I would understand how being able to see his family more often would be at the top of his list. But I think if Bo and Carl meet his mother and they are able to show her what Nebraska is all about then I believe we will have a great shot at landing him.

So at the end of the year we had a great offensive game thats great 1 good offensive game. Now there is talk about National Title runs and top 10. We lose what 5 starters on the strongest side of the ball which includes one of the best defensive players in the country in the last 10 to 15 years. Arizona was not ready for the offense we ran but teams will be next year. I want to be positive but I think everyone is alittle to positive. Returning 10 starters and having depth at offinsive line, hopefully finding one more reciever to step in and be that number 2 guy, and having experiance at the QB position I believe our offence will be improved. But not top 20, more like middle of the pack. As long as we don't have to retool the offense in the middle of the season for the 3rd year in a row. Losing 2 on the D-line, the best linebacker and 2 starting safety's makes me believe that our defense will take at least a small step back. I believe the problem will be at safety not linebacker as most are predicting. Losing Asante and O'hanlon is like the offense losing Nate swift and Todd Peterson something will be missing. Asante and O'hanlon were lights out this year and you can't replace that in one off season. So I think we drop to a top 20 defense. I figure we will finish somewhere between 10 and 15 next year at the end of the season. I just don't like the super high National title hopes to the super low of fire everyone that coaches on the offensive side of the ball.
