@ZRod I don’t disagree with that but the way this 4 team playoff works,  I don’t see them as worthy of being in it. Like I said earlier, they need to expand to 8 teams, take the P5 conf winners and 3 at large. Then we can start worrying about the 9th and 10th teams...

And yeah, if I was them I’d be pissed but top 4 in the country......I don’t happen to think so. Which team that is going to make it would you eliminate to make room for them? Which of the next 2 or 3 would you put them ahead of? It can’t be as simple as looking solely at record and not considering schedule. If it is, what about East Mississippi and any lower level team that goes undefeated?

Making it 8 teams would make things much easier most years. This year: Bama, Clemson, Ohio St, Washington, OU, ND, UCF, Georgia/Michigan

Do the 5 conference champions and 3 group of 5 conference champions/independents if they're undefeated, if not the other slots go to the top power 5 teams.

Only major issue I see is this incentivizes group of 5 teams continuing to have a patty cake schedule. It's not really fair that they'd have an easier path to the playoff.

Also, UCF may have won the West but they would not have been undefeated in conference play, imo. They could probably beat most B1G teams in a one off game, but they wouldn't be winning week in, week out.
