Haha well played, NUance. But the B1G will alter daylight savings time by several hours and NU will compete TV time with the Savannah State vs Richmond matchup.

I think they should give it a try. Let's see how they compete with ESPN and NFL for viewers. I know I would have rather tuned in last night to watch Indiana-Purdue over Mississippi St-Kentucky or the NFL game. That's just me, though.

They won't compete with either of them. I wouldn't try it. I would just open up the possibility of B1G teams playing on ESPN Thursday nights.

  3. Probably spend it on infrastructure, education, and health care. But then they would come back with "that's not replacing the lost jobs" and maybe they aren't even in the same state, so now you've killed Ohio's economy. I was just curious if there was a good solution anyone had thought of, because as far as I can see if you want to make anything "right" in this country someone is going to get hurt.
  4. I agree with you. When you have thousands of tanks sitting in the California desert, and brand new cargo planes being sent from the production line to the bone yard in Arizona something needs to change. But how would you offset the supposed job losses and hit to the economy that comes up as a counter point every time someone talks about halting tank production, or reducing our submarine arsenal, etc? http://www.military....o-boneyard.html
  5. That's a pretty douchey thing to do. Most students I've been around have the attitude that we're all in this together so don't f#*k anybody over who's working hard. But those were mainly engineers, maybe we need more of them in charge of the government.
  6. We all know how this rivalry was started right? The four Horsemen where slain by none other than those boys from Lincoln and the Irish went looking for an easier opponent to play.
  7. YOU TAKE THAT BACK! Really, you should try the rye. It's pretty good. I don't care much for their regular whiskey though. Honestly I don't know if I've ever had rye. The regular Wild Turkey is disgusting, had that poured in my cup at a party back in the day and about vomited.
  8. Wait a second. You're not comparing the Bama defense to the '13 Huskers, are you? Because I don't there is any rational Husker fan who thinks we'd stack up with Bama. Not even close. lol I believe the point of this conversation is that the SEC is not as dominant as ESPN would have us believe. Sure, Bama is a great team. But the rest of the conference is pedestrian at best. Outside of Bama, the rest of the SEC really isn't any better than two or three other conferences. Oooooooh sh#t. NUance didn't add a smiley. You in truhble now Ha ha! I forgot. Oh I must be drunk. lol yes. What's your poison tonight?
  9. (Hangs his head and places his hat over his heart) Good night sweet Tigers...
  10. Sort of like how we didn't win our conference and didn't belong in the 02 Rose Bowl vs. Miami. So yeah, we'll blame the media excuses excuses. Find me a Husker fan who would honestly tell you we deserved to be in that game.
  11. Doesn't look likely, they have a cake walk left for their schedule after next week unless Auburn can repeat.
  12. Well, they're shutting Iowa State out 64-0. Take that as you will. Meh, we'll see haha! If they ever fielded a defense they could run the Big XII most years.
  13. Do they have a defense this year?
  14. if only we'd taken care of business against UCLA. What a perfect set up this year would have been.

I hate to say this because I love the kid, but a lot of the Offensive woes are on Taylor's shoulders for that game. Looking at second half film he wasn't checking downs wasn't getting yards with his feet when guys were covered, and wasn't making correct reads in the run game. The last 2 may be a result of his injury but not checking down is inexcusable at this point.

A couple times he could have got 10+ yards if he went through his progression and kept the drive alive. But WRs also dropped some good balls too.

Man I agree the lack of checkdowns are upstairs for Taylor. Feel Beck didn't get the memo ucla struggles with power O and excels against later schemes.

  15. They literally all look the exact same. Button up shirt, tucked into khaki pants, loafers, and a douchy come over. With the occasional pink khaki shorts and boat shoes. Saw that a lot in DC this summer and was glad to be "behind the times" here in Nebraska. If that's men's fashion I'll keep my T shirt cargo shorts/sneaker, and jeans and boots thank you very much.
  16. Is it the norm for males ages 18 to 25 to dress like douches at Ole Miss?
  17. Trust fall! It really is a toss up though, lot of unknowns for both guys. If it's any consolation I'm gambling on Eli not being Eli this week.
