  1. Difference is there's more parity in conferences these days than there was in the 70's 80's and 90's.
  2. Just watch a game where they coach and you will see them getting emotional and yelling, Saban flips his lid even when he's winning. I seriously wonder if you've played a competitive sport at any level, because if you have and you ever f'd up you would know you were going to get yelled at. Maybe not by your head coach, but a position coach will more than like chew you out. Sometime you've got to raise your voice to reach someone. I'm not going to defend a coach who degrades his players verbally, but from all accounts Bo isn't doing that. Further more he's been very relaxed this year compared to years past, I've watched him on the sidelines at every game this year, and unless guys are screwing up the same way over and over, a la Evans tackling, Santos poor play, corners blowing coverages, he takes them aside and just talks to them when they come off. If Bo is such an evil guy why do his former players constantly come up to bat for him when the fans or the media are ripping him?
  3. I though Bo actually kept his calm really well during the UCLA game even with the terrible officiating. He really only chewed them out once and it was extremely tame compared to his history. What does it take to get a holding call against an opponent??? I'm all for agreement here, but said same set of officials then must turn a blind eye towards ARod, because he is getting away withas much if not more Funny thing is he gets called a least twice a game it seems like.

What does it take to get a holding call against an opponent??? No such thing as holding I'm afraid. You'd think a ref would take note when a defenders jersey is pulled off of his pad that something might be going on.

  6. Don't go ape sh#t, don't yell at the refs, don't yell at the player. Yup, every "professional" coach keeps those in check at all times.
  7. Good! His ass better get at minimum a one game suspension, two or three would be appropriate in my opinion.
  8. There was a good amount of booing (I was in the student section). And if I remember right Bo gave his signature f#*k it wave to the crowd when they were at their loudest. Usually that was reserved for the refs. There were actually some boos this past week at the end of the half when we ran the clock out, although it was mostly frat guys being dumbasses.
  9. Its not late but I climbed in bed almost 2 hours ago and gave up on sleeping an hour ago.
  10. I'm ever the optimist, but after this past weekend I'm all but a realist now. Love the description made me smile and brings back memories, here's to hoping the sun is coming out like I remember it. After the storm:
  11. I don't know if they go full speed or not but Bo said earlier this season that they take guys to the ground in practice. If they don't go full speed, I think they need to get the practice squad out there and just kick the living tar out of them at full speed.
  12. I usually think Jason is a tool, but he actually had some legit points in between his glory days comparisons.
  13. Exactly, not as bad as Callahan. Maybe not as many bad games, but some games that have been just as bad...
  14. Is it me or does Peyton look a little more agile in the pocket this year. I don't even like the guy either.

Not really, don't mind him so much now that he's with the donkies. But he's still a pansy in my book.

He's a great QB but I've never been a fan of the dink and dunk which is primarily what Denver does with him just as Indianapolis did.

Somewhere there's a painting of Peyton Manning that ages a little bit every year. lol

  15. It didn't matter where he threw it his recievers didn't have hands the majority of the game.
  16. Really digging the metallic red on Texas Tech's helmets. That would really pop on a black or white helmet. Write that down Adidas!

But, we're Nebraska! We can't copy Texas Tech.

  17. No sh#t! Even a Jet's fan would probably say he doesn't deserve a fine...
  18. First we actually need to have a rush on any punt. But if they're going to rugby kick it somebody needs to come from the far edge on the wide side of the field and pressure the kicker to get it off sooner. Like just inside the gunner wide. Hopefully the kicker either shanks it or doesn't get his leg behind it because of the pressure. Which we have done since about Wyoming's third punt. Then we're golden!
