Seriously how can you watch that gif and not think it was a good hit. The guy was locked in on Turner, it's about 90% his fault that he got blown up. You may not like it but he needs to check his surrounding, i.e. keep his head on a swivel. You can't go running in open space like that with opponents around and not expect to get hit.

No conference games hardly mean anything as it is, because hardly anyone schedules real opponents. When I said head to heads I was talking about non conference play. So you wouldn't have teams playing each other a second time. Non conference will never have any significant meaning unless you keep the human element of the eyeball test in the selection process.

No kidding, that's where as a coach I no longer care if you get 15 yards. Heck you can get yourself thrown out of the game because at that point it didn't matter. But have some pride and protect your teammates. Things get dirty on the line, and if I were an offensive linemen again I'm running over there and shoving that guy away from Taylor and getting in his face, and telling him if he so much as thinks about doing that again I'm going to take his ass out and he won't see the field for 6 months.

That was Wastson's offense. I think we've had some staggered backfields this year with the RB behind Taylor and a FB alongside him. I think we are a little more power with a spread element than when we were in 2010. I think Beck would rather have an extra blocker than another running back in shotgun.
