I think that is a good point.  I do think that at that level the pads really don't bother any of them anymore (I coach HS ball and you should see some kids the first time they put pads on, it is basically a documentary on stupidity) but I still think you have a good point.

Pads are just a noise that can't be controlled. It's not worth measuring.  The point of the testing is to measure raw ability not account for noise or other variables. It's an excellent baseline. The best really. 

Why don't we make them run up and down the feild, get hit a couple times, and then take the Wondelic?

Would be iffy to compare times wearing old-school pads vs modern ones.
