    Despite grievances of my own and everyone else, Nebraska's offense was the 3rd most efficient offense in the Big Ten last season, having to cover roughly 36 yards for every field goal. Only Michigan State and Ohio State did better.

      Like many have said though. We've survived on putting these numbers up against a pretty weak schedule for quite awhile now. It's the ugliness of the losses against the other top tier teams we played, that's where the issues became clear.

      The efficiency stats are for the whole season. Offensive and defensive efficiency do take into account turnovers and starting field position.

    So a Big Ten team will play for the national title for the first time since 2007. The win against Bama was huge for the league, but Ohio State can help the Big Ten further by beating the Ducks and claiming the national title.
