  1. Nebraska's Memorial Stadium > Ohio Stadium.....From a cosmetic/looks standpoint, I don't even find the comparison to be that close....
  2. The B1G has made a number of questionable decisions with realignment and scheduling.... I thought they were the cutting edge smart guys?!
  3. What is the B1G trying too accomplish?

So what's Neville going to do about it?

He's gonna build a wall, that doesn't block the lowlands

  4. I'm more offended by Michigan St. being #14 than I am about us not being in the top 25.... What does he see?
  5. KJ, So if we played a neutral site game the athletic department would be in financial ruins? Now go put on your "realistic" hat....
  6. Make the tournament 5 out of 7 years, and make a run in it occasionally and I would be happy....
  7. If Bama or LSU said "hey, Mr Eichorst, we wanna come up to Lincoln and play on November 30th", I guarantee you we would make it work. Unless they were planning for 2025, then no, we would not make it work. We don't get to choose the dates of conference games, which means we have 5 to 6 open weeks to schedule our non-conference games and byes. We're never going to choose "play difficult OOC game later in year and take the bye in week 3" as opposed to the other way around. That would mean 8 straight Big Ten games + LSU/Alabama/whoever + B1G title game. 10 straight weeks, no byes, with that schedule? That's brutal and should not be self-inflicted. Seriously? Losing a home game every other year won't hurt anything. I could understand if we were losing that home game in-conference, or too a low level college, but it would be worth it for the exposure to play another big-time program at a neutral site. It would also look good on the fan base, because I'm sure we would dominate attendance too said neutral site game..... Seriously? Have you been paying attention to anything the AD has said about the source of our income? Yes! No money would be made from a neutral site game If you think Nebraska is that hard up for cash you're fooling yourself....
  8. Lebron's 2013 regular season statistics:---(Per Game) 26.8 points, 8.0 rebounds, 7.3 assists, 1.7 steals, 1.0 blocks 56.5 fg%, 40.7 3pt%.... That is an incredibly skilled basketball player....
  9. Are you actually suggesting that Shaq, and Lebron have the same basketball skills? Lebron can't do anything outside of 5 feet? You don't watch much basketball do you? Lebron is as skilled of a basketball player as there is in the league....
  10. Lebron is a better distributor of the basketball, and he is a better rebounder....
  11. Try watching a video of MJ (highlights or game tape, either one) then try watching Lebron. MJ made basketball into an art form. Lebron just uses brute force to do what he wants to do. More power to him, but it's not fun for me to watch. And I'm admittedly a little bit of a hater. Try watching a video of MJ (highlights or game tape, either one) then try watching Lebron. This pretty much sums it up for me. MJ is a better basketball player. Lebron is just a once in a generation/ lifetime sort of athlete who chose the right sport to excel in for his body type and skill set. That describes every elite athlete in every sport! There are aspects of Lebron's game that are better than Jordan's.... Jordan is the better player as of now, but Lebron has 7-8 years of prime left to try and catch him.... Blake Griffin is a great athlete, so is DeAndre Jordan, Nate Robinson (the list could go on for a while) and none of them are near the basketball player Lebron is.... That is the laziest excuse I've heard to describe why Lebron is great, lol.....
  12. We don't even try to block punts. Keeping blockers in to protect the punter is nothing new.... We set up for returns, and it rarely pays off....

More power to him, but it's not fun for me to watch. And I'm admittedly a little bit of a hater. I'm not arguing that M.J. didn't play pretty basketball( he certainly did). They have two very different styles, but both fun too watch, in my opinion....
  14. Gonna be a lot of disappointed Ohio St. fans too when reality hits this year, and the losses start to come.... 12-0 was good and all, but you could of been 8-4, or 7-5 last year....
  15. He also seemed pretty bitter about the lack of talent on the defensive line and the safeties getting all the grief for missing tackles. He's trying to be polite about it though. I do think at times Bo is unrealistic in what his scheme expects guys to handle assignment-wise, in terms of what guys are able to handle knowledgewise or talent-wise. That said, guys have to buy-in and work the scheme. It isn't like Bo hasn't had plenty of success before and proven the scheme works when executed. As far as the D-line goes not being able stay healthy and lacking depth at DT really hurt us the past two seasons. Throw in a fair amount of very average players around those DT's and you have safeties that have to do too much. Talent has been the issue as of late.... In my opinion, it is really that simple. When Bo has talent on that side of the ball his defenses have been among the best....
  16. Yep, I am looking forward to it. I hope OKC gets it together and finishes this series tonight. Go Rockets!
  17. Uncharacteristic of the Celtics not being ready.... I thought they would come out clicking after the emotional game 5 win.... The lack of PG play is hurting them badly. A guy on a 10 day contract is playing a lot of point in game 6 of a playoff series! That tells you all you need to know!
  18. I agree that we "seem" to have a talented group of young QB talent, but they are about as unproven as you can be at this point....

I want all the home games we can get because from my standpoint, they're the only ones I can make. But,yes, I do understand the benefits of such a matchup. I didnt intend for my comment to be a knock on such. I live out-of-state, but living in-state I could certainly understand your positioning.... I just want Nebraska too have that "anyone anywhere" approach too scheduling....

  21. You see Harris turning down other opportunities to play QB?
  22. If Bama or LSU said "hey, Mr Eichorst, we wanna come up to Lincoln and play on November 30th", I guarantee you we would make it work. Dirk Chatlein made some great points in his "mad chatter" today.... I agree that Nebraska needs to try and get a HUGE neutral site game at least every other year. By huge I mean Bama, LSU, OU, Texas A&M, USC, Oregon, Notre Dame, Florida St., etc.... Home and Home is better though. We have Miami and Tenn coming up. And no idea how good they will be when the games get here. Its silly looking at games scheduled for 2019 and talking about how good the team is. Just look at USC last year, before the season everyone thought they would be killer. Oops. Going that far out, just get good named programs and keep your fingers crossed. Neutral site showdowns are trending right now, and Nebraska needs to get in on that.... A&M at Cowboy Stadium.... Bama in the SuperDome.... Notre Dame at Soldier Field.... OU in Kansas City.... Oregon at Mile High.... The nation would want too see those games..... And if we win those games, it sets the tone for the rest of the season nationally.....
