I learned that the next time I come home from college to watch a game that i will be watching it in the basement. I watched the first half and most of the third in our upstairs living room and was speechless! I jokingly told my dad that i give up and that i was gonna go downstairs and the very next play was Lavonte's strip. So, i will therefore accept all credit for this comeback and remember to watch all games in the man's den for the rest of my life!

I said this kid was gonna really surprise at the beginning of the year because of his athleticism.... but i never thought he would be surprising in this roll! He seemed confident out there and he has only been playing d for three weeks! Hopefully that can rub off on the d around him and this game was the launch pad of our d showing their potential! GBR

Didnt read through the whole thread so if this has been said already then my mistake. I honestly thought the d came out and looked inspired and they were flying around. However, T-mart giving them good field position and one mistake crumbled their confidence and it all went away. The defense was playing well at the beginning and they were put into bad positions with their backs against the wall where their inexperience shined through.

I personally love those uni's with white tops and black pants with red or black lettering! It changes things up a bit while keeping the traditional style. I know this means nothing, but if Im a player i want to wear those come saturday no doubt!

We will be fine, Shawn Watson is gone, our offence can move the ball well (I have watched them play, their D is ssssslllllooooowwwww). And Michigan plays with cinder blocks on its feet. And of course Penn State is usually full of crappy players and MSU last year wasn't fast. We're not any faster than 1/2 the B10 teams. Not the speed we have... the one team last year that is even comparable to us this year speed wise was TCU and what happened in that game?

I actually think Washington's defense is faster and just an overall better defense than what i have seen from Wisconsin. They have shown terrible lateral pursuit and if that holds true then we might see Nebraska's second to last driven against Wyo ( toss left, toss right) the entire game come Saturday.

I would like you to name me one team that has 5 national championships under its belt that had to resort to an "-----out" to get a cheap pop. Because that's all it is. And f'ing seriously, if the players need a stupid, non-original, played out, black jersey to get pumped for the Wisconsin game, then they're screwed six ways from Sunday anyway. Let it die. Please. I really dont think this has anything to do with resorting to a "-----out" anything.... having all black jerseys is something i have always wondered about. I understand tradition and everything that comes with it but i say we let the kids have some fun. Its one game, thats not gonna kill any tradition! If black jerseys is going to give them even just a little more of an adrenaline rush before the game, which i know for a fact it will, then why not?

This kid played against my high school when i was a freshman. The only thing i can really remember from that game was thinking that this kid was just an absolute road grader. He was twice the size of anyone else on the field and was surprisingly quick on his feet. I remember him walking on after that year but i never actually thought he would make it into the rotation. Those directions from The Maudfather sound like they get you to Omaha, not Lincoln, From what I gathered to go to Lincoln, take I-29 to St. Joe, take 36 HWY west to Hiawatha (there's road construction on 36 west of there) take 73 north to Falls City, then take 75 to NE City, then 2 west to Lincoln. I've heard two different accounts of the construction on 36, one bad and one said no big deal. KDOT says it is working on two bridges and traffic is down to one lane on each bridge so you are likely to have to wait some. How long that is, I have no idea. If 75 is that bad, you could take I-70 to Manhattan and take 77 north to Lincoln, though there is construction on 70 too. I've never come in from the south on 77 so I don't have any idea how game day traffic will be. Though I think you said you were coming up earlier so that may not matter. Hope this helps. I live in Falls City and go to school in Omaha so i take 75 a lot. Taking 36 to Hiawatha then going north on 73 through Falls City until it merges with 75 is the best way i think. 75 isnt bad at all until you get north of Nebraska City. But if you take 36 west passed Hiawatha you are taking a risk because the construction on those bridges could set you back about 20-30 minutes.

Just finished my second year of a road to glory and my Offense was ridiculously good! However, I ended up getting screwed out of the Heisman and no name from Iowa was who beat me. The numbers weren't even close. Vandenberg: 218-339 3518 yds, 7 ints, 157 car 628 yds and 45 total tds My guy: 186-264 4483 yds, 0 ints, 183 car 1137 yds and 68 total tds I then proceeded to beat Iowa in the natl championship 62-17 so I paid him back!

...and 'ours' NU arent't even listed (unless I missed 'em); I know there was an 'Undefeated and Unbelievable' national cover(circa 1983) with the triplets, and I think I also remember one with our real live 'Herbie Husker', Papa Steinkuhler.
