Hello. I'm new here, so I thought I'd fill this out. I've been a member of a couple of other Husker boards over the years, but the conversations there have dried up. I won't always be the most active poster, but it will be nice to not feel like I'm the only person on the board for a change. Thanks for having me! 1) How long have you been a member of Husker Nation? 45 years

 

2) What/who led you to The Nation? Born into it

 

3) Where are you from originally? Central Nebraska. In the Kearney area.

 

4) Where do you live now? Omaha. But probably not for long.

 

5) Favorite Husker memory? Neil Harris batting down that ball in the end zone against OU in '83 to preserve the victory.

 

6) Worst Husker memory? Turner Gill not connecting with Jeff Smith for 2 points.

 

7) Number of home games attended? Around 70

 

8) Number of away games attended? 20 or so

 

9) Favorite Husker memorabilia/apparel? Too many to single out. I used to have a Husker themed motorcycle, but I sold it last year.

 

10) Favorite place to watch a Husker game? (section in Memorial, bar, friends house etc.) South stadium nose bleeds. Love it up there.

 

11) Favorite all time player? Brook Berringer

 

12) WCO or Option? Little of both

 

13) Stevie Pederson or Billy Byrne? Bill Byrne, but I'm not convinced that Steve Pederson is the devil.

 

14) Lil Red or Herbie Husker? I hate Lil Red more than death itself.

 

15) Favorite Husker play? Any one that ends in us scoring.

 

16) Favorite game-day beverage? Beer. Many different flavors will do.

I'm 24 and was born into a Husker family, but some of my first memories as a Husker fan are from the 1997 season, so we'll go with about 16 years.

 

2) What/who led you to The Nation?

My UNL grad/Husker maniac father.

Minden, Nebraska

 

4) Where do you live now?

Omaha, Nebraska

 

5) Favorite Husker memory?

Probably the 2009 Holiday Bowl. It was kind of a false spring, but it sure felt good at the time.

Tie between the endings of the 2009 Virginia Tech and 2009 Texas games.

I'm going to guess roughly 20.

3 (2010 Kansas State, 2010 Iowa State, 2012 Wisconsin in Indy (huuuuuurgh)

i'm 33 now, found out about football when I was 8. Been a husker fan ever since.

Dad he was born in Omaha was a husker since birth.

94 beating Miami for the championship, tied with 95. It was fun watching us trounce Florida. While I was in Alabama surrounded by SEC and Gator fans.

My dad, he's from Greely and got his bachelor's and master's degrees from UNL (PhD from UT). Also my entire extended family on his side lives in Lincoln.

My earliest memory is surely my favorite. My dad had gone to a party with my mom during the 1997 game against Mizzou, I was sitting at home watching it on TV and when the Davison catch happened and I frantically called this guy's house where my parents were at trying to get my dad to find a TV because of the miracle catch.

 

Another fun memory, I was living in Texas in the 90s and not understanding why everyone else wasn't as excited as I was when Nebraska won the 1997 MNC. Those Longhorns looked at me like I was crazy.
